What could be considered a HD is the flash drive which is 512MB.

So, you have to have a memory card or what? Sorry, I'm technologically stupid.

It has a 512 Mb Flash drive inside, but if you want more room (you really do
), you can use an external hard drive . or SD memory cards like the ones used for the Gamecube and digital cameras. The external harddrives are the better bargain: ex) A 320 GB external drive I found is cheaper than many 3+ GB memory cards

I thought I read somewhere that external hard drives wouldn't work with the Wii. I hope it's wrong b/c I'd rather get an 80GB HDD for the same price as a 1GB SD card.

It should be about the same.
So you can probably fit many. And I doubt you'll play most of the games you get earlier on come 3 years from But don't count on fitting many Virtual Console games on there after that :\ |

I called EB games, and you can order either 512mb or 1gig cards from Nintendo. I have a few 2 gig cards... I can't imagine I'll really need more. Plus I have a few external harddrives that I'm hoping I can use... but I don't remember reading if we could or not.
![]() If you think about it, a Nintendo 64 game shouldn't take up that much kb space... let alone a SNES or NES game... think of the size the roms take up. Content won't take up much space either. And since it's compatible with a device like the computer, you can just back up as much data on there (I'm sure) and pull it off whenever you choose.
