I think Tony confuses him with Hefner, would have to check the credits to be sure. Maybe he was "playing himself" LOL.

I really though Stan was Heff. Until I read this thread.

I loved it

it was random arm candy. stan lee is credited as himself in the movie. not sure what to think but it would be funnier if tony confused stan for heff and it suggested stan lee was living it up.

I'm pretty sure Stan Lee was simply playing himself. That's the humor behind it.

It was probably one of the better Stanmeos.

Best Stan Lee cameo was X-Men 2.

I liked it but wish they could've done it like in the novelization.

Tony: "Hey Heff, oh I'm sorry I thought you were someone else."
Stan: "I'll say I'm someone else........Excelsior!"
Tony: "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Excelsior. If you'll excuse me."

I don't think this is the case. I think it was just Robert Downey Jr. ad libbing that moment because wardrobe dressed him up to look like Hef. The look of confusion on poor Stan Lee's face is priceless. I can say easily this was the best Stan Lee cameo for me.
