Thumbs up Music as a Weapon Tour.

I tried looking for a music forum, but I couldn't find anything .. so don't burn me.

Anyway, I caught this show last night. Bands were Disturbed, StoneSour, Three Days Grace, Flyleaf, and Nonpoint. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen .. mainly because of Disturbed (my favorite band).

Anyone else see this show? What did you think of each band's performance?

I love Disturbed. I have heard a little of Stone Sour, but hell seeing Disturbed in concert would be worth it enough. Lucky bastard

is there some co-relation between the carnage names and nu-metal?
perhaps a thesis is in order.

I dunno, I like some of Disturbed's music and I appreciate Stone Sour whereas I can't stand Slipknot. The girl from Flyleaf also has a very interesting voice. I'd probably go to that show, too. It wouldn't be the best show I've ever seen, I'm sure (Nobody yet has topped Stevie Ray Vaughn, and I've seen some incredible shows since then), though.

I like some of their songwriting, but from a purely musical perspective they don't write anything particularly challenging that requires a great deal of musicanship to play. They write aggression-rock and they do it well, but they aren't insanely talented by any means.

I'd just call them hard rock or heavy metal. Nu-Metal is crap like Korn and Lincoln Park.
