Gasoline. It doesn't rely on turbo trusters like practically every other Batmobile before it.
Which is funny, because it looks like a tank. But, looking at it now....Burton's Batmobile would probably be jet fueled or something. Schumacher's Batmobile's probably needed small orphan children for fuel.......cause it was pretty sad. And, again...I'm not sure of it. But, by the looks of it....Burton's Batmobile seemed to run on that thruster it had. Right? |

Yes. I can tell we are bored and need news on TDK.

Well, the Tumbler does have the jet thruster in the back for the rampless jumps. So I think it needs jet fuel when it makes a jump.

Maybe. But seeing how it's only for very short bursts, I doubt it'd be that much jet fuel. Then again, if it's just for short burts.....maybe it doesn't. But, seeing as how it doesn't need the thrusters to drive, gasoline is what it runs on.
As opposed to small orphan children. |

It could run on jet fuel for both the motor and thruster. But that is silly since the motor is still a chevy 350 and even modded, it could run still on regular 97-94 octane and I doubt it was that modded. But a turbine engine couldn't. And the flame in BF was pretty much how it looks like at the track. Except, the real deal smokes a whole lot whereas the BF was a clean burner. Obviously it would be lame to hear the Batmobile puff puff all this white smoke and the then w/o any hint it be 1/4 mile away in less than 5 seconds.
I thought the Schumacher Batmobile had the most realistic and impressive flame of all the Batmobiles. It was 6 feet long. Even the B&R Batmobile had 6 mini-jets that looked cool. |

Hmm.....interesting. Although, still....Shumacher's Batmobiles just sucked compared to the ever classic Burtonmobile. And I think the Tumbler serves to be cooler and manly.
I find kinda odd that they have the Batmobile on that type of engine.....wouldn't it relying solely on thrusters make it suspectable to easier engine trouble or something? |

But, yeah...wheels sounds more realistic....I guess. |

But the tumbler definately has a SBC 350 and a thruster and would obviously have to have 2 different fueling systems. |

And, I think the Batmobile here was one way to show people the difference between films. Batman has had a bad history of......well.....of Metrosexuality. The nipples, the neon bat lights, the thong-ass shot of him and Robin........so, with that type of history, I think going more on the side of muscle, rather than looking cool.....it's worked, I think. I understand a cool fast speeding car could work....but Batman Begins had a lot to prove, and it's one of the things that went into the design of the car. Btw.....I have no idea how crashing and running **** over could ever get old.... Quote:
In the film, though.....who knows. I think there were gas canisters lying around though.....but, maybe there's a Film-based bio on the cart that gives those stats. But, from what I know.....normal everyday gas fuels it. But, the booster for short bursts.....I defintely would buy it needing it's own fuel source. Quote:
I'll say it runs on.......the blood of virgins. |

Being a former military vehicle, it probably runs on diesel.

Well, the car is sort of a cross between a Hummer and a Lamborgini. Not a Viper, though.
