A Hypothetical Situation...

Hi Gang,
I've been thinking about something for awhile now that has me somewhat perplexed, and I'm hoping that all of you might be able to come up with some ideas or suggestions to help this all make sense. So, let's say that there was a person who had a very expensive hobby. Yet, this person was a full time student living at home with their parents who didn't have a job who avoids answering the question of how they can afford this very expensive hobby at all. It leads one to wonder if they really, truly actually engage in this expensive hobby or just fantasize about it as if it were reality. Or perhaps there's something illegal going on that enables them to fund their very expensive hobby. So, I pose the question to you, how would someone in such a situation afford such an expensive hobby?

They're lame to begin with because they live with mom & dad. They're obviously milking their parents for cash.

- Give blood and participate in drug studies and then only enjoy the expensive hobby once every 2 months or so

- Permissive, push-over, wealthy parents who just "don't wanna know" why they've given him thousands in "allowance" and yet he still drives the same crappy car, wears the same old clothes and can't afford a Playstation 3

- was awarded some kind of a grant for aptitude with this hobby

- found pirate's treasure in a lagoon and has effectively kept the location a secret

I think that this person's fury towards finding an acceptable way to attract a member of the ooposite sex might blind them to everything that is considered idiotic about their ideals.

Alright, so let me add some new perspective to the mix, here. What if I told you that this person could engage in pretty much every aspect of this very expensive hobby without having to pay outrageous sums to do so if they applied themselves a little bit. What would you say, then?
