- Full HD graphics - Based on the arcade version - Modes include Arcade battle, Ghost Battle and Gallery modes Apparently all the textures will be high resed (Basically enlarged to be 'sharper' when you see them in game) and it will run in 1080p. The Price is rumored to be $9.99. Must buy total. Last edited by Zenien; 12-18-2006 at 06:23 PM. |

I posted this in the Tekken 6 thread about a week ago.
![]() I'd definately buy if I had a PS3. It's the only game in the Tekken series I don't or never have owned.

If Jinpachi is playable....that would mean the cheap shot of the fire belly attack.

Ah its easy to avoid. If he's charging, he's either going for a front-teleport strike or a belly blast. A well-timed sidestep, an Electric Wind God Fist or a Phoenix Smasher will knock the ****er down like the sack of shyite that he is. I am looking forward to playing as Dragunov though. Looks like I will have to enter my credit card info after all...

Jinpachi gave me a lot of trouble at first, but once you know how to defeat him, he's a pushover. His fire blast is side-stepped, and generally, I keep my distance, using a f,f,3 type of move. He seems to fall for it every time.

![]() I.... ![]() ![]() Nope nothings coming. That's your opinion, you just have bad taste . Tekken is one of the most fun multiplayer fighting games outside of Street Fighter ever IMO.Edit - Plus, aside from trolling what's the point of posting about a game you can DL from a system that you hate and a game you think is mediocre...oh that's right already answered my own question .

No, Tekken is mediocre. Hell, I think even VF is better than Tekken.. In the hierarchy of fighting games, Tekken is somewhere between Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat.
Street Fighter is good though. Correction, the best. And ummm.. sorry to burst your bubble but calling Tekken mediocre is not trolling. It's just giving my honest opinion. If I said "TEKKEN SUX AND NE1 WHO LIEKZ IT SUX TOO!!1!", I might see your point.. but since I didn't you are wrong. I believe I'll do a Zenien and use the phrase "grasping for straws". Yep. |

Tekken isn't a mediocre game. It's a matter of opinion of course, but the generally speaking Tekken is very well received. Definately up there as one of the top tier fighters.

Released just over a month ago for purchase and download on Japanese PlayStation 3s, Namco-Bandai Games America Inc. has confirmed with us that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is now coming to the PlayStation Network store in North America for download. Namco's throwing loyal PlayStation 3 owners a Tekken 6 tide-me-over in the form of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Last seen on the PSP, this new PS3 version includes remastered graphics (in 720p, no less), a new playable character (Tekken 5 baddie Jinpachi), and a new "fight money" system that rewards you for nailing massive mid-air juggle combos and perfect victories. You can spend that cash on downloadable extras like HD Tekken 6 teaser videos, PS3 wallpapers, and tunes, all viewable in the new Gallery. Also, the opponent selection in the Ghost Battle has been redone, and works as follows: - The first opponent (Stage 1) is chosen based upon the difficulty settings under Options. - All further opponents are chosen based upon the fallen opponents rank, and the player is then given a choice between three ghosts for the proceeding match. No word yet on a specific price (the Japanese version costs 2,000 yen, or about $16.50 US) or release date, but Namco Bandai has confirmed it will be available on the PlayStation online store sometime later this month. |

Still, I hope they're hurrying up and working on Tekken 6.

Okay, dilemma time:
I'm from Singapore but when I was signing up for my online services, Singapore wasn't one of the countries available during sign-up so I used a fake...okay, not fake but highly unlikely US adress. My PS3 is a Jap edition (unfortunately) , so if I were to download T5: DR, can they bill me using just my credit card or do I still need a billing adress. Also, will I get an English edition of the game?
