I can see complaining about MJ, or Aunt May or even Eddie Brock (despite the fact that yes, Venom is overrated)...but Speedball?!???. If anything you guys should be crying over Night Thrasher, Firestar or Namorita...there are characters whose potential was thrown out the door.

Yeah Penance is a bad name choice, or at least his look and name fits a lackey of Apocalypse a lot better....but outside of that, I don't dislike the move.

Trust me I'm not happy about Nightthrasher and the rest but it's the one guy (Speedball) who this retarded idea is applied too.

I hear ya why no one was clamoring for a NW revival before and their where. me for one and two the last NW ongoing was pretty craptastic with even worse art.

If it was Joey Q's idea, how does Jenkins exactly mangle the transformation, especially it being a dumd idea to begin with? I fail to see how thats his fault.

Jenkins last Sentry mini did plenty, especially with the Void.

Just because you're mad because Speedball is gone or whatever doesn;t mean its all Jenkins fault.

I'm with him on that one. It's the equivalent of DC's handling of Cassandra Cain. The writer was given point A and point B. The writer's job was to get him/her from A to B. It may be a crappy thing to have to do, but it's their job to do it well. In both cases (from what I read of Frontline when I wasn't laughing at how awful it was), it was handled terribly.

That's the writer's fault.

Its not easy either, therefore most of the time, its going to suck. As seen with Cassandra Cain. Can you name a bad idea with a good execution?

I personally didn't see anything bad in the execution, I think people who hate the idea can admit to that as well. Its just that the whole idea is so overwhelmingly dumb, anything they did, was going to suck in your eyes.

No s***, I'll tell you right now I hate the yellow fear monster as much as anyone, more probably, but what I hate most about is is that it's Jordan's scapegoat. It's why Jordan has no guilt over what he "did," which is why I said its solid out of context. In context, it's the stupidest s*** ever.

The problem I had was jenkins seemed to be doing quite well up until the last two issues where everything just seemed to get turned on its head.
