Count how many summer R-rated action flicks have been released in the past few years. Yeah, that much.

I'm actually more worried about the former. Apparently, Marvel wants a little more creative control, and they want the directors and writers with some more control, but Fox seems to be the stubborn one with that. |

FOX will probably make the X4 film reguardless.
I doubt I'll go see it, I'm just one small fish in the ocean of viewers so my 7dollar ticket doesnt really matter anyway. X3 was rushed and a horrible experience. The only (pheonix) bird that I saw in the X3 film was the one given to Mardsen(cyclops character) and FOXs delivery of the entire Pheonix saga according to FOX lore. At least get the story right and in line with the comics, FOX. The muscle suit that JUG wore had a Beer Gut too ~ what a rip off! What a waste of budget, time and effort - but hey, they still made money reguardless ..../shrug. |

I think Ratner did a better job than Singer did, and I liked Singer's version. It was too soft for true x-men die hards. 3 was closer to the mark, but I agree it was a bit ADD when watching. I think someone who truly bleeds x-men should helm the next series and should focus on the adult audience and really zoom in on the comics story base.
I would love to see them keep churning out x-men movies, so long as they are quality. Don't churn out crap (Rocky V+, Nightmare on Elm Street 3+, Rambo 2+, etc, etc.) |

Exactly, seen the comics - Wolvie's RIPPED!!!!! Not that I don't love Hugh (and I think he has done well). I would love to see the X-Men move closer to the adult zone (somehow the comics treated the kids as adults and were not holier-than-thou about it.) |

I think many of us can agree that Halle had nothing to do with what was wrong with X3..

Exactly. I personaly liked X3 (some things dissapointed me) But seriously, Halle did a really swell job in this movie, really picked up her character and did a total 360 from the first two movies. I find that Brett Rattner is an exellent director aswell. He really seemed to know how to make the actors really pull off the characters the action scenes were beyond what we've seen in past movies and every thing ran smoothly, the only problem i had with it was the story line, it was too rushed and I think fox bit off more they could chew with some of the things they did.

I think I realized that X3 was a horrible movie when Wolverine started giving the battle speech. Not even a badass battle speech, but kindof like Cyclops' impression of Aragorn battle speech. It was disheartening, and it reminded me how much Fox had control of the movie and how Wolverine's marketting is killing the X-Men (literally so in the movie). It was disheartening. And the story was totally unremarkable to me. The Cure had implications that were astounding. |

Yes, I want to see an X-Men 4, because I've enjoyed all three films thus far.

I guess I'm in the minority then. I feel that she ******ed so much prior to 3 coming out about having a BIGGER part to play and a bigger role with more lines. In fact if I remember right, she threatened to walk out or something?? (
) That's called EGOTISM and the movie is not called STORM, and no it's not called WOLVERINE either, but everyone knew that the main draw of the X-men movies was always Hugh's character along with other factors (story, other characters and talent playing them). Why else would Bryan Singer focus the 1st movie on Wolvie in the first place?I think we'll never truly see as X-men movie the way Spidey 1 was. There are too many greedy hands looking for a payday. Tobey and Sam totally nailed everything right with Spidey 1, and the X-men 1 was just a watered down version of what could have been. Someone needs to make an X-men movie who wants to be true to the original material and not focus on $$$ and executives waiting for a payday. Stop banging out crap a$$ comic movies for the sake of the trend. Do it because you love it, or don't frakkin do it at all. Last edited by Wolverine001; 01-19-2007 at 03:19 PM. |

If Halle were the worst thing about X3, it would have been a really fantastic film.
Yes, I think she wasn't great, but there was so much more wrong with that film, that you can't point at her (the way you could have for the first XMen film). |

if they do an X-4 she should at least have a supporting role, if they focus on the younger characters..

It should focus on a better script.

Yep. Unless they want to pull a Nightcrawler and explain her absence in a video game, Storm should at least have a supporting role.
