Playstation 2 singstars game

I'm sure most of you all on here know of this game! For those who don't, it's a home karaoke game for the PS2 enabling players to compete against each other and/or the computer. You can record yourself and others for playback to assess your vocal skills or - more usually - take the piss out of whomever it was that just mangled Whitney Houstons 'I will always love you.'

After one or two (or ten) on Saturday night at a friend's house, this was cranked out. Mayhem and hilarity ensued. But does anyone here know if it is possible to convert a saved playback file into mp3? And if so, how do i go about this.

Apologies, I don't know myself what file format the playback file is in - it's on a friends computer and i'm waiting on him emailing it to me. Cheers folks.

my daughter got this game for Christmas, she keeps trying to get me to sing songs with her on it. I told her she might as well get a plate and fork and scrape the fork on the plate while she sings, it would sound the same.

Cheers folks, the file is in a .max extension which appears to be the default format when transfering anything from the PS2 to a PC. I suspect the .max is kinda like a .zip utility, so i need some sort of way to 'unzip' the .max file to get at the actual audio file whatever format it may be in.

Zaed - that's precisely the point!! If I can get this file sorted i'll upload it and send you all a link. Tina Turner has never sounded so hilarious!!

I'm too chicken to play this game with anyone present. However, I did sneak a go on my brother's PS2 when I was home for Christmas and sung my little heart out. I averaged around 8000.
