Back in the 90's I stopped reading Batman, I just wasn't getting into the stuff they started doing like No man's land, and I got more into Marvel, then after hearing about the new movie it started getting me interested again, well, I started missing it a bit before that also, but when I saw the movie it brought back memories of seeing Batman when I was ten which really got me into it, even though I'd always loved Batman that movie really made me a super Batman fan, I love this movie, even though I had some problems with it for a while but I'm done nit picking.
But when I first saw it I was so happy to see things I always wanted to in a Batman film. Things like Gordon done the right way, Bruce's origin of course, and even though it's not 100 percent faithful to the comics it is still amazing. My faves are always going to be Batman and Batman Returns but BB is right there with them equally for me. I missed out on alot while I was away from Gotham, but I'm catching up some, and thanks to BB and the Batman anthology and the animated series on dvd, I got my hero back, and came to my senses. In a way I guess it was good to take some time off, 'cause now I'm a totally recharged Batman fan. I love Batman, he's the best. The only thing that sucks about him now is that dumb cartoon they made, I don't even consider it as part of Batman, I don't watch, to me it doesn't exist. Man, I can't wait for the Dark Knight. Heath had better do a good job, after all Jack was the greatest Joker, I don't care what anyone says.

Same kinda, Batman was really like my hero when i was a kid, up till like 11 or something then i started really getting into Spiderman when i got 2 huge books that had 32 Spiderman issues in it, including Spiderman 1. I wasnt really hyped for BB but i was intrested in seeing it. then last year i saw it in the shop for like £6 so i thought yeah ill have that, got it and ive been a huge Batman fan (again) since.

I'm just happy they are making Batman movies again. I just wished they would hype it up some more. I would hate not to experience Batmania ever again.
But I disagree on hating the new Batman cartoon. The animation is much better than BTAS. <----Not saying it has better style, because it doesn't. But animation is much better. It's just another vision of the Dark Knight for us to enjoy. I will forever love B89. Others will forever love BB. Some still love the 60's tv show. |
