I'm waayy anti scars and these are great manips!

Here's my contribution. Hopefully, by the time the Joker starts cleaning up his look he'll look more or less like this. I'd prefer a more "batman (1989)" haircut. I also took a little off the inner and ends of the eyebrows. I thought about taking a crack at a somewhat subtle grin but i'm nowhere near that talented to make an attempt.

I think that's what we'll get, more or less. And it looks pretty good.

Nice work, man! I prefer the longer hair though.

I dunno. I don't think we'll ever get a B89 hairstyle in THE DARK KNIGHT. I anticipate the long hair will be a keeper the whole film through, even if other aspects of his wardrobe change. And personally, I don't want the B89 hairstyle... it's just not the Joker to me.

I'm into more of the messy head of hair look (Brian Bolland's and Tim Sale's Jokers, off the top of my head), and given that it has such precendence in the comics, I'd imagine Nolan and co. would keep that look.

Looking at the set photos we have so far, though it is long, they're going to have it slicked back. Which is good, because I hope it makes a come back in the comics.

I would also like to point out the blackness around the eyes in the manip. I think that's something the Joker should have, seeing as it brings out his hate filled eyes.

I think that arching the eyebrows a bit more (granted that it is a bit subtle) will give him a meaner look. I seen a manip that pulled it off well, and he looks evil.

And with that look in those manips I can see why they say they took elements from TDKR, because he looks like the Joker from it.

Sure, a bolland look would be sweet!

Maybe it's just nostalgia or I guess what I'm thinking is something close to an Alex Ross look. Also, in my opinion, ledger's hairline echoes more of Alex Ross's Joker which as a personal preference, would be f'n great in a bat film if taken down a few notches(as far as the facial features go).

Yeah, but not that neat, regardless. It's pulled back, but it doesn't look like each hair has been painstakingly put it place and gelled to the point where it won't move an inch. My feeling is that the Joker's hair should move.

From the pictures we've seen, rough though they are, it seems like Ledger really does have darkness accentuating his eyes. Seems like a natural make-up choice.

Nah. The eye darkening will take care of the "Evil" look of him. Even in his neutral stance, darkening will make look inherently more sinister. I mean, look at Jr.'s manip. Ledger's in his neutral look, but looks more sinister with the eye darkening(I need a new word for that).

Also, leaving his eyebrows unarched gives him a suave, calm appearance, which can be shattered at an instant when he gets angry or finds sinister glee in something.

I thought Batman doesn't come out during the day.

There's no definitive backstory for the Joker to prove your statement.
