17. The earliest you can get it in NJ.

I failed my first road test. He said make a right from the start which brings you around a curve. He said make the second right which I interpreted as the next turn after the upcoming intersection. As I was about halfway past it, he said here. I turned and went on the other side of the road. He failed me because of it. The next time I got a nicer instructor.

18 had to save up the money for the classes, and then wait the 6 months after the classes for the road test.

17. The first time I took the road test, they said I was too cautious and failed me. I told the driving lady "Of course I was cautious! I'm driving my mother's car and I don't want to wreck the damn thing"

So I went out to Millington and took the road test there. It was a country block instead of the city block and there was no traffic. Incredibly easier.

19. I was driving at 13 but didn't have the official papers until I was 19.

First test was perfect until the end when I was parking. I touched the guardrail on the building and failed.

Next try the weather was awful, I was nervous and yet somehow I passed. My instructor told me after that the Tester I had never failed anyone ...

Got mine at 17 and i failed the permit test 11 times, i never studied. So far I have 2 tickets and almost got it suspended because of my MIP.
