There is a tie-in comic that shows her take Joker into the sewer, hesitate as she's about to kill him, and then an explosion separates them and Joker escapes.

Just finished watching MOTP. Figured it only seemed right on its 20th anniversary. IMO still the best animated batman film of all time. Hopefully they DC and WB can come up with another original animated bat film sometime soon that we can look forward to. These adaptions of the comics are entertaining, but I want to see original untold stories after the Batman and Son movie is released in 2014.

I agree MOTP is way up there on my list of best batman movies ever even tho it is like 76 min long it feels longer and epic. it just proves you don't need a 2 plus hour batman movie .

Then that means that the final scene where she could have gone with Bruce was Basically undone, since she didn't even need to take revenge on the Joker

I remember seeing that comic at some store when I was a kid. Never purchased it b/c I didn't have any money on me or something. I remember flipping through it and seeing that moment. Also Arthur Reeves returned as well and had become insane b/c of the Joker. I've been meaning to find that comic ever since.

Anyways Happy 20th B:MOTP.

I think it's the best theme and score to any Batman movie. The others are good don't get me wrong, but they are specific and narrow to the individual interpretations. Walker's theme is more representative of Batman as a whole; the entirety of the character and story's histories

Kevin Conroy: The only Batman who had a Joker in his film, and wasn't "upstaged" by him.

The Joker also only appeared almost halfway through the movie, i remember thinking he wasn't even going to be in it.

Well, the DCAU version of Batman was pretty darn cool. But, I don't think Keaton was ''upstaged'' by Nicholson in Batman. He brought enough intensity and intrigue to the role to keep the audience interested.

I thought Keaton was completely upstaged by Nicholson. Batman '89 is essentially the Joker's movie. The whole story basically revolves around him.

Oh, God, this again? Okay, Ledger got an Oscar and everybody's attention. Bale did not. Was he upstaged as well?

Bale was completely upstaged by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins.

Just because Nicholson got top billing and one hell of a contract certainly doesn't mean he ''upstaged'' Keaton. Commercially perhaps, but not creatively.

How exactly do you want Keaton to steal the show against an A-list actor playing one of the most flamboyant roles of his entire career? There was equal praise given to both actors and if anything Keaton was referred to as the greater revelation. The movie needed that ying and yang to work.

Plus, every live-action Batman actor has been upstaged by thier villians... that's what happens when you are playing the straight guy or brooding loner in a rubber suit. The only time an actor outshone his fellow villianous actors was Christian Bale in Batman Begins... and THAT was only because the villians in that movie were mundane as sin.

....But Pfeiffer fan says Nicholson didnt upstage Keaton, then turns around and says that EVERY Bat actor has been upstaged.

Sorry... meant to put upstaged in quotes as I don't technically agree with your use of the word in general.

You can only be truly ''upstaged'' if you are in direct competition with another actor. Tommy Lee Jones was certainly upstaged by Jim Carrey, for e.g.

Now if Keaton's beetlejuice was up against Nicholson's Joker in a movie then we could start talking about who was upstaged.
