Default Like Superman/Batman, who should team-up with Wonder Woman in a book?

In the same vain as Superman/Batman, I was wondering who would be fit to team up with Wonder Woman in a book. I only have two choices to start, in alphabetical order, that have some connection to Wonder Woman which in turn would be great for them to team up:

1) Black Canary

2) Catwoman

Black Canary because she took her spot as the founding member to the JLA post-crisis. And despite changes to Infinite Crisis, I remember a scene from Birds of Prey where they both were training and how they were friends (has to be still there, Post-IC). The Two Dianas, or the two Di's.

Catwoman because they have been together in comic book history, though not as much. Either fighting at one another or together. I remember Wonder Woman during her "I Ching" era where Catwoman was the only supervillian during her non-powered point in her life.

I believe with both of these choices, we're given a similar idea with whom and what Superman & Batman are. Superman is a super-powered hero with a sci-fi origin & nature, while Batman is a human "super" hero with a much more grounded origin & nature. Wonder Woman is a super-powered heroine with an origin and nature thats both mythic. Not only that, you can see her in the Superman role with whom the choices are being the sorta Batman role.

So when it comes down to Black Canary & Catwoman, Black Canary is a human superheroine that uses strength and actual, real fighting tactics despite her superpower which she hardly uses and sometimes, if not most, in her carear didn't have. Catwoman is a human superheroine who is known to switch from being more of an anti-heroine to a heroine and back.

But Black Canary has a team up coming with Zatanna by Paul Dini while Catwoman is part of the Batman Family.

So if there was, or if wanted one, a team-up book similar to Superman/Batman with Wonder Woman, who would you want her to be teamed with?

Well, if we're seeing Wonder Woman in the Superman role, my choice for the Batman role would be The Huntress. I could see her vigilante ways coming at odds with Diana, who'd be trying to redeem herself in the eyes of her peers for killing Maxwell Lord. So maybe part of this redemption would be helping Helena deal with her own issues.

Black Canarys is calld Dinah not Diana
and it only really Black Canary you can team Wonderpants with that will give them a somewhat Superman/Batman relationship..
The only problem is that Bats/supes relationship all comes down to 2 diffrent views on the way to work..
Dinah and Diana on the other hand they agree to mutch.
And while Batman is a hard man to work with in contrast to superman, Both Wonder Woman and Black Canary perfer teamwork..

so why not Catwoman.. because she plays for the wrong team.. half the time anyway

Isn't Huntress a Batman-related character? Because I believe she already has a team up partner in Power Girl, from #27 of Superman/Batman.

Ah. Well they could.....well maybe not.

There is already a team-up for Black Canary with Zatanna, as said to be a graphic novel by Paul Dini. But I wasn't sure if that would a great team-up that would stick forever. Even I have an option who would team up with Zatanna that would make sense.

I think whoever is choosen to team up with Wonder Woman should be someone that isn't part of the Superman Family or Batman Family, like Catwoman or Huntress.

I'll edit that in my original topic.

Well, with the new Brave and the Bold comic, we'll see many team ups, including WW and someone else...

Now that they're finally showing Fire like she's really supposed to be, she could be the other half of the duo.

Storm would just beat her with lightning again and handle the mission solo.

I'd say Black Canary. I liked how they interacted in Diana's guest spot in Birds of Prey.

Only after giving up a tremendous advantage that she didn't need to kick Storm's ass anyway.

Well if you needed to make such a duo, I actually think that Wonder Woman would team up very well with Aquaman.

(heheheheh "team up" )

Grant Morrison touched on this a bit, but not quite enough imo. First of all there's that iconic Superfriends imagery of her carting his sorry ass around in the invisible plane. That could easily be updated to modern nostalgia. The great thing, as Morrison illustrated, is that even though they're both royalty and come from mythical kingdoms, they pretty much have absolutely nothing in common.

Their personalities "clash" about as much as Superman's and Batman's do. She would encourage restraint and tactics all the time while he'd be hotheaded and gung-ho. She'd be nosy and preachy about other people's business, and he'd just be stoic and xenophobic. She's intrigued about everything in the world, he just wants everyone to leave him alone. She loves debate and diplomacy, and he has no patience for that "surface world crap." Neither one of them thinks the other has his/her priorities straight. There'd be romantic interest for about...oh, let's be generous and say six minutes or so, but pretty soon they'd figure out that they're just all kinds of wrong for each other. Nonetheless, due to the fact that they do come from similar backgrounds, they constantly find themselves having to deal with the same sorts of threats and therefore with each other. Which is ironic, because both of them have much better friends -- him with J'onn, and her with Clark/Bruce -- with whom they would much rather be hanging out with. But, eventually they come to respect each other and become effective comrades yada yada yada. Copy and paste, save and print.

She should team up with the new Bat Woman, but I'm still thinking.

Who is as well known as Batman or Superman without being a spin off character?

Interesting. Sort of like a combination of Lord of the Rings, The West Wing, and Moonlighting.

Agreed She is in that book enough already that they should just add her name to the title, but then what would be the point of the JLA.
