The Venom design is perfect. When I first heard of his costume being a warped version of Spider-Man's black costume, I thought it would be lame, but it actually looks cool. I dare say it is better than the comic version.

But, Harry's costume is just unnecessarily different. Although Sandman and Venom make up for that.

As far as I'm concerned, the movie Venom trumps the comic one in any way possible.
Not in the least.
No movie will ever trump the comic it's from.
'Cept Ghost Rider, but he sucked from the beginning.
'Sides, this Venom has the Spider-Man web design all over.
The actual Venom had nothing of the sort.
To hell with this Venom.
And dear GOD what is wrong with Harry?
Not only did they jack up the first Green Goblin with the movie, not only did they **** with Doctor Octopus, now they have to screw up the second Green Goblin?

you need to be more open minded. The changes that have been made helped make the movies beter. also venom is asome.
long live venom

That is a very naive way of thinking.

Do you believe that good scientist turned evil by a mind-controlling chip is better than disturbed sociopath who relishes the power he gets from being a freak because it makes him special? I don't. There was no reason Doc Ock should have been changed in SM2.

What they are doing with Sandman in SM3 is more compelling, except from him being Uncle Ben's killer, which does nothing more than cheapen Spidey's origin.

I'm wondering if Venom will look more like this concept art,

this figure

or this statue

I think the stature version looks amazing and jaw dropping but the other ones are disapointing.

the statue is more reliable than most of the others, especially when it's based of of a film. so yes the statue is what we are getting in the film. the concept art is actually very reliable as well.

Why would you even think venom would resemble the action figure more then the actual concept art? The whole point of concept art is to provide concepts for what venom would look like in the movie.

teh conpet art is not even concept art but a CGI render made for promotion. its like CGI venom. they have now the technology to make the CGI venom very fast. so the venom looks organic. and i personal think that the CGI venom is what we will get in the movie.so i agree with you.

but some people think that the toy is how venom will look not like the CGI organic render

the mouth and the teeth are very different in the concept pic from the statue. the build, shape of the jaw, shape of the head, the proportions are different. the tongue is different. they are not the same. a concept is what the character "might" look like. It's one of many possible choices they were evaluating at the time of the creation of the pic.

the spider is also different on all three. The pictures are not all the same. I feel that the statue looks perfect, and the other two would provide entertainment, but they aren't venom league.

this is true. but members here are calling it concept art because of a reason that until now i dont understand. in 2006 they were naming it concept game art.

but fact is that those pics are not concept pics. a concept pic is first penciled then colored. concept pics are made in photoshop.

those venom pic is a CGI render made for promotion. it was made to promote venom.

A fact that can be proved by looking at some of the photos in the merchandising thread, where these renders are appearing on boxes, stationary, books, etc. Concept art isn't used in mechandising like that, unless the merchandise involved is a book on "the making of...", of course.

But thats the Hype forums, for you... Everyone assuming something for all the wrong reasons, and a total lack of common sense.

The only reason I end up posting is to correct them, all these baseless assumptions infuriate me, I'd rather just go back to lurking on here and reading all the scoops that tend to turn up here first.

we've seen loads of concepts and mechandise,

some have been bulky some have been slender
some have had a gray spider some have had a white spider
some have had black webs some have gray webs
some have had purple fabric and some have had black fabric

I think the only thing you have guarantee is venom will have a long tongue and sharp teeth everything else has yet to be cconfirmed.
