You know how we often hear this:
"Life is precious". Is it really? (Anyone who posts here and say this is an "emo" thread, I'm gonna kick your arse!! ) Are all human life equal? Or is the value of one Life greater than another? Who puts value in our Life? Society or us, as individuals?I'd like to know what do you think the value of your Life is and why do you put such a value to your Life. What are the criterias for your appraisal? Thank you for your time. ~Bella

I think most people put a value on their life to help support family and loved ones just in case.
I have life insurance that I pay monthly, from my work and from something my parents set up.

So to you, the value of Life is family and loved ones. That those are the reasons to continue living even when the going gets tough?

I know. But it seems unappreciated. The ones who have posted did not answer the questions is my post. I bet no one even reads it and just looked at the poll.

I've to take up a second job coz, as you know, it doesn't pay much to be a teacher.

In regards to your previous post? Is the life of a millionare worth the same as a homeless person freezing on the street? Or how about a murderer in jail with no respect for human life as opposed to a Human Rights Crusader? If I had the chance to save one of them knowing full well who they were, obviously I'd pick the crusader. Yes we judge people based on a lot of the expectations of social standards but aside from the extremes, I think in general one human life is as precious as another.

And that leads to the question, who puts value on our life? Society? And is it based on how we live our Life?

You have to utilize the Jigsaw character from Saw's mindset. "You have wasted and dont' value your life, so now you must die."
A lot of people take their life for granted, but that's human nature. People do a lot of stupid **** and justify it with, "life is short", but that's more or less a copout.

I think life is precious b/c even if only a part of your life is good it may be the only shot you get so embrace the good part.
The value of life i think depends on what you put into it,i won't lose any sleep over some child molester getting shived in prison as he invested nothing into life but if you are a good person who makes life better for those around him then you have invested well and you life has worth not only to you but others as well

Ultimately life IS precious we just tend to take our awakened state of consciousness and free will for granted.
Give people two weeks to live and they'll realize the value of living. Too bad it will be too late!!! BWAHAHAHA HAHAAHA HA-*cough cough*. |
