It's thriller/action.

It's about a student who finds a book called the "death note". Whoever he writes in this book dies in 40 seconds by a heart attack, or he can write how they die. He starts going psycho/ and wants to play God and be a guy of justice. He goes to kill all of the criminals in the world, starting with a guy who's trying to rape a girl. But he goes too far. Then there is a guy who is a legendary detective and throughout the series they try to outwit each other. It's VERY good. I can't believe you've never heard of it. #1 rated anime on every site right now.

I'm not big on anime, but it sounds interesting. I guess this could be the thriller to Desert Punk's comedy. I've just gotten into that one.

BTW, a buddy of mine was telling me about one called Gantz and thats its really violent (which I'm all about). You heard of it??

Nope, second to the Hellsing Ultimate OVA in my opinion, seriously, the first episodes of Death Note were good, now it's turned into crap, they may be smart, but there is no way they can read eachothers' thoughts.
And they go against all odd's and still makes it.
They're not using skill/smarts anymore, they go on luck.

Nah, I don't like the artwork in the manga, I prefer the anime.

However there are better anime's.

There's also a live action movie that is just bad from all angles. Hell, it doesn't even follow the original storyline. But for some reason I'm still looking forward to the 2nd movie. In hopes that it's better than the 1st.

Anyway, there's a movie? Didn't know that.

Read the manga. My friend sort of is my influence when it comes to what manga I should read or not, so when he said the latter part of the plot sucked, I stopped reading too, hehehe. So I was just right up to Chapter 3 or 4 I think

Hey guys, for episode 48 did anyone manage to conclude it was that guy who was kira. I was close. I had it down to two guys and he was one of them but I guessed that it was the other. So who did you guys suspect?

this is such an awesone anime i heard a few people talking about it in here and as you say sloth7d you will get addicted in my own opinion its quite a fast paced anime but then seems to slow down when
