Make of it what you will...
From AICN: Have They Cast The New HULK?! Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here. First time source here. You know what that means. This is a rumor, and nothing more at the moment. Still, it’s a fascinating rumor, and if this does pan out, I think it’s a really cool choice for “puny Banner.” Hey Harry – I've been a longtime fan and wanted to fill you in on the latest casting news coming out of Hollywood. The movie? HULK 2 - which is one movie I have little desire to see. I'm still not quite sure WHY movie execs feel they need to remake this movie. Anyway, it seems they've signed their leading man and will be unveiling him to the public soon. The name is familiar and an interesting choice. ADRIEN BRODY. I'm curious as to what you think of him in the role? I haven't seen the script yet but my sources inside the studio say it's pretty good. If you share this news on your website, please keep my name secret.... you can refer to me as SCRUPLE. Keep up the great work. |

What's so bad about Eric Bana?
Did anyone see Munich? It's BETTER than the Pianist.

But Banner IS literally puny. It doesn't make sense to cast someone who could pass for a greek warrior.

Have to say, if we cant get Bana back, Brody is a fantastic choice, he is a great actor and would be perfect if Bana doesnt come back IMO.

how does banner's physique have to do with his personality/psyche...
the hulk keeps him in tip top shape, he shouldn't be in peak human condition but he should be similar to a man who is naturally in decent shape without having to apply too much effort which i think suited bana perfectly. saying this, he only looks like the ultimate interpretation rather than any of the comic ones. bana looks more like a classic bana, maybe if he acted more like one and wore glasses people would have seen more of a resemblance... |

I think Brody's a fine actor, but he annoys me to point that I feel pissed off after a while. I WANT him to get slapped around, but not so he'll HULK up.

Can someone make a good manipulation of a deformed and green Brody's head on the Hulk's body?

)Adrian Brody would make a great Bruce Banner (but I'd take the rumor with a grain of salt) .

banner was never written as a weakling by stan lee,
besides, if banner was really the hulk's opposite, banner would be a weakling and a coward, and those weren't the qualities i saw in the man who risked his life to save rick jones... ![]() banner and the hulk aren't polar opposites. |

Bruce Banner should be a tall, thin, shy and socially awkward, but highly intelligent geek. Even if this rumor is nothing, I think Brody would be a damn fine choice for the role.
It's really frightening that people are still talking about Bana, as if there were some slim chance of his return to the role.
