I saw this film yesterday and it was freaking awesome!
It's a movie about the past of the people and how it doesn't escape, is not forgot and does not remain behind. It's always there, pursuing us, filling us of hatred, of guilt, of remorses. After that, it make us sick and finally kills us, without being able to correct mistakes that we committed or of which we were victims, some time. |

I saw it "way back when"...I remember renting the "thick duplex vhs" because it's so freaking long.
But I remember liking it. John C. Reilly in his best unseen role. Tom Cruise being able to portray something that doesn't seem like "Tom Cruise portraying himself in a role." And other great performances from PTA's vault of character actors...

Interesting concept and it really catches in the beginning but the film is really slow. The middle seems so uninteresting but it is ALMOST worth it to see how all the characters come out in the end.

Magnolia is one of my favourite films ever.
Itīs a movie about emotion. Itīs like every character goes through different situations, but all of them go through the same kind of feelings at the same time. The film itself IS the character. |
