Fantastic return. Sets up what is to come perfectly. Exactly what a season premiere should be.

Also, this show has some of the most ****ed up one liners of all time. First there was when Mrs. Schroeder told Nucky's first girlfriend, "perhaps your cunny is not quite the draw you think it." That was the line of the season. My friends and I found ourselves quoting it all year. 15 minutes into the new season and we already had the successor. "When Jimmy was a baby, I used to kiss his little winky." So ****ed up, yet hillarious.

Good premiere. The trio of Jimmy, the Commodore, and Eli already showing off their influence. So funny to see Nucky speaking before the blacks and the whites, getting their sympathy. The opening song was pretty appropriate for Margaret, particularly the lyric "After you get what you want, you don't want it." I imagine we'll see that expressed through the season.

Yeah but know that Nucky's duplicity is going to come around and bite him in the ass eventually. You can't play both sides like that and expect to come out of it with no consequences down the road.

Yeah, there was a lot that was going on. Loved Chalky best this episode, how he got those other guys to beat up the guy who was giving him crap in the jail. Classic.

Im more interested on what's going on with the founders of the american mafia in NYC than what's going on in Atlantic City.

Good episode last night. Jimmy's last words to his wife after she asked him, "How was dinner with your father?"

"Which one?"

Dang.

It was pretty quick how Margaret put the figurative "master and servant" wall back up between herself and her maids after returning from dinner.

I thought that when the series premiered but I think it's overplayed. It's been done numerous times whether fiction or nonfiction with countless movies/tv shows. I really enjoy Boardwalk Empire because it's showing focus on another part of the country during the period and shows that it wasn't just Chicago/NY that had bootleggers and mafia issues. Plus the show does a great job incorporating figureheads from other cities in the show.

I do feel bad for Jimmy who seems to be caught in the middle of both of those guys. Can't wait to see what he does about it.

I don't really feel bad for Jimmy because he made a choice to back his father who never cared about him until he gained some power and influence as a bootlegger over the man who did watch out for him growing up and tried to take care of him--even if Jimmy felt the need to make a break from Nucky to be his own man. But it does suck he's in the middle.

With that said, Nucky going over to their table and throwing down the gauntlet just made the show so much more interesting.

Ok, another good episode. Now that Masseria has shown up, I wonder how long until Maranzano does as well.

Fantastic scene. This season is phenomenal so far. I love the guy from Ireland, but I really hope they do not start a romance between him and Schroeder as they hinted in the second episode. He already feels way too much like Furio as it is. I understand that they had to give Nucky some kind of muscle, but yeah....avoid the Schroeder/Nucky/Irish Guy love triangle, please!

That being said, I think that Schroeder may also have some ties to the IRA and the implied flirting may have been more based around that.

I hope so as well.

But it will be 7 Seasons from now, the Maranzano vs. Masseria war came in the late 20's so did Maranzano himself. And this show is still in 1921.

Unless they skip years for next season OR totally change history we will never see Luciano and Lansky form the national crime syndicate in this show.

It's been done numerous times whether fiction or nonfiction with countless movies/tv shows.

Well all I can think of is the movie Mobsters where they showed Luciano and Lansky forming the American Mafia and the National Crime Syndicate.

And this show is better directed and more accurate than that movie.

So I hope this show does do it.

And the BIG MEETING of all the Mobsters in 1929 in A.C. is a MUST!! Nucky himself hosted theat meeting.

So I really hope they skip years for next season or "Knock On Wood" this show will last 11 more seasons.
