How is it hard to understand ? you don't talk to someone you don't know like they are old acquaintances by using the first name...For instance ive known C Lee for 3 years and have always called him C Lee on the boards until recently where i call him Doc,ive known Showy a lot longer than you and have known his real name for ages as well but i never call him it on the board b/c he gave no inclination that he was cool with that.

I just don't, simple as that. To me, if a name is made public, it's public, and can be used. That's just what I think. But it's obviously not the way you think. Now can we just move on from this please? I've apologised. I've said I'll abide by the rules. Can we just drop it?

I've been preaching that same thing since 1987's Quest for Peace.

WB has no business owning Superman or Batman for that matter. They only deserve minor comic book characters IMO.

Superman is something waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over their heads. They nearly *****ed STM up in 1978, butchered SII & made fun of the character with SIII & IV.

If Sony owned the rights to Superman we'd be seeing figures up to 300 million for SR.

How do you think Sony would handle Batman? Do you think we would have gotten something as good as Batman Begins?

It would have been better marketed & just because they FINALLY got one right with BB, it still doesn't excuse the crap they did with Batman & Robin.

Batman & Robin = Quest for Peace both = Unforgivable.

Its quite obvious WB ONLY cares about prostituting & making money off Superman & Batman. I understand its a business but they've done so much damage to both.

unfortunately Sony only came around in the 1990s, i believe WB acquired DC even before that.

Yeah, Cannon, or Golan-Globus, or whatever they called themselves. They're defunct now, thank God.

he could make the ultimate superman movie.

.........or he could make superman returns. it looks like that faith wanted that nolan makes batman...thank god

but singer has a chance to also make a better superman movie. just dont give him 100% control. slap him in the face if he will act like an idiot. kick him i the ass. tell him if he again deletes a 10 milion scene that they will kill hes dog( joke).
tell him that he needs to make more action.
ohhh and someone needs also to kick some guys from WB. its not all singers fault IMO.
WB is more guilty than singer.

p.s. go to lucas and spielberg and ask them if ILM can make the effects. act nice and maybe they will do for 150 milions.

finish.

reality is that WB will screw this and make a batman&robin

Default Any SR fans just as excited at the idea of a new Superman movie franchise?

This could make me look like I'm turning my back on SR and viewing it as a failure but that is not what this is about.

Am I the only one who liked SR, but look as much forward to a totally new Superman take being put on film?
To me Superman is bigger than any actor, director, writer, etc... I don't speak in fickle terms of popularity either. I'm saying the character comes first and believe me that feels lost on forums at times with the Routh vs Welling vs whoever arguments.

For me as long as it gets confirmed that a new Superman film will be made I will be excited. Infact I'm just as excited at the prospect of a restart leaving the baggage from the split fanbase on SR behind. Obviously for those that know me I've been a big fan of having a Superman origin movie with a new take on different elements (in terms of new to on film) such as seeing a younger Jor-el, cities of Krypton, a business mastermind Lex, maybe even both Kents being alive, etc...

There are endless small tweaks that can be made which will still keep him Superman but modernize the story and bring in a new audience revigorating the name itself SUPERMAN. Sure even with announcement of a new movie there is no guarantee such things would be introduced, but the idea of it being a possibility brings me hope.
However well or unwell for that matter SR was received ( including Brandon who I think is great and would welcome to an origin movie if SR hadn't been made)... There is a hint of excitement at the idea of seeing Superman reimagined yet again on the big screen.
I hope I'm not the only one who liked SR but really would look forward to a new take on our favorite superhero.
