I Finally Figured it Out!

In regards to the Diamond Select Modern Era X-men Statues. Prof X, Cyclops, Psylock, Gambit, Beast, Wolverine and Sabertooth.

I finally found out how they kinda fit together and why they don't.

Prof X and Cyke fit together. Psylock, Gambit, Beast and Wolverine all fit in that order. And Sabertooth doesn't really fit. Oh and Gambit needs to be turned on his base. He comes out you see, one pose is great for Gamby by hisself and the other is the way he goes to fit in.

Now this set was based not only off of Jim Lee's Art but also partially off of Jim's Cover to X-men #1

And it was planned to be a much longer line than 7 statues. They had planned to do Rogue, Colossus, Archangel, Storm, Iceman and Jean Grey. As well as a Magneto and an Omega Red to give it more villains.

Had those other 8 statues been done all 15 of them would have fit together to frm a huge Diorama of the Danger Room and the X-men fighting some villains.

I kinda want them to finish it off....Really bad....though I would need a huge ass shelf for it all.

Well they came out a way back when....Lik 4-5 years ago or so.

Prof, Cyke and Sabertooth are Hellu easy to track down on Ebay, Beast and Gambit come od frm time to time and are stil fairly easy though a tad more expensive.

Wolverine and Psylock are the hardest to find, they only pop up on ebay once and a while and I paid over $150 for both.

So that are not the new ones..... There are other that you can place Wolvie with Colosus for a fastball special and stuff.
But yours look like, more comic accurate.

The first ones are more Iconic. The Dark Phoenix ones are story specific.

to somewhat recreate the iconic Jim Lee x-men #1 cover. its probably the most well know image Jim did for x-men

The X-men #1 cover won the fan poll to be the next Marvel Legends Masterworks.

Sadly the line got cancelled when Hasbro took over.....it woulda rocked.

Anyway I knew the set was based off of the jim Lee Era but I didn't know that cover in particular.....Xavier's in a completely different costume.

I never got into those, Masterworks. if your going to do the statue like toys, atleast try to do it right (like Mcfarlane)

I love the Modern Era Statues. Modern Era Sabertooth was my First Statue.

And the Masterworks were cool....The Everyone Vs Galactus is really the only one wirth getting though....maybe the F4 Vs the mole monster
