Default Morbius - the first emo?

Jet black hair in his eyes. Dark clothes. Skulks around feeling sorry for himself. Black eyeliner and sometimes a pathetic little beard - Morbius is the original emo!

Who would have thought a obscure 70's supervillain would go on to influence a generation of kids?

A terrific, and criminally under-used character.

Looking forward to the upcoming one shot.

There is no way that I can say this without sounding like a curmudgeon:

These kids today ain't emo! There just ****ing lame!

Hell, back in my day, emo kids wore sweaters and librarian glasses and listened to Sunny Day Real Estate! They didn't cut themselves! They were just soft little nerds!

Given the timeframe of his appearance, I'd say Morb is more part of the original post-punk goth scene. I picture him more hanging out in some gloomy club in NYC watching Alien Sex Fiend than hanging out in the corner of a HS cafeteria carving his ex's name into his forearm.

Just my .02. I love Morb, personally. I think he's a property that could possibly carry a film.

Definitely goth, not emo.
