I saw it again tonight, about an hour ago. I had less of a "WTF" face, and more of a rolling-of-the-eyes face this time.
I went again soley so I could remember more details. Ok, that and James Franco .

I'm debating...should I see it sometime this week in the morning/afternoon when there's no one around.
OR Should I wait til' this coming weekend and see it with a huge crowd again? I usually like seeing a movie with a big audience but at the same time, i'm probably gonna go solo this time around when I see it...

Whenever one of my friends needs to see it...I'll go so I can get their input, and have a legitimate excuse to spend another $9 (I'm not a major repeat viewer, I usually stop at twice).

only if my friends really really want to see it (again), because i sure as hell wont. until theres an extended AND recut DVD im just gonna pretend that this movie was never made (but i must admit there are a few little pieces that i enjoy: intro, some of brock's lines, and some of spidey's lines).

No.
Most likely will be the DVD for 5$ bucks in a year to watch the fight, but the whole thing non-stop? Nope.

It's actually the only spidey film i'm tempted to see more than once...
I think it's more watchable than the second by a long margin... i can't wait for an extended director's cut. |

After my first viewing I knew I really liked it, but I was also in a bit of a shock to see the series end and to see all the loose ends finally tied up. I felt the same with Star Wars "Revenge of the Sith", and the way I remedied that was a second viewing. So after a bit of searching online I found a DivX version of the film and watched it. During the second viewing I was able to appreciate how each plot, despite there being a lot, each contributed to another and made quite a large and complicated but very interesting film about revenge and how it affects people (and sand and symbioses).
I found myself really enjoying Dark Peter despite the cheese involved and while before I felt Venom was too brief, now he felt just right. Like the Boba Fett of the Spider-Man series: cool, but brief, and leaving you wanting more. My only complaints that still exist are more of what isn't there than what is there. The film needs more Sandman scenes, both character driven and fighting. Thankfully it looks like those have been filmed and will appear in a 3.1. I also would have liked to see Peter adapting to his suit a bit more than just a "Where did this come from?" to Dr. Conners to keeping it. At least some more ariel shots of his moving about the city when the suit is discovered. Overall, after a second viewing I'd give "S-M 3" a 8/10. It tries to do a lot and succeeds at most of it. A "S-M 3.1" would definitely push my score up to a 8.5 or 9, considering the known deleted scenes that are out there. S-M1: 8/10 S-M2: 9.5/10 |
