Teaser with Pirates?!

I might be late but Jett just said he heard rumblings of a teaser with pirates...

1. The image from the webiste is DEFIENTLY from sort of teaser. The shape of the image clearly shows it.

2. Word is no teaser premiering with Potter.

So if it aint potter, but theres some sort of teaser out there....and rumor is its with pirates....

could we be getting footage next weekend?!?!?!

I thought Miranda said Pirates earlier this week.

It could be realistic. Got done with the Chi-town shooting two or so weeks ago, enough time to edit it for a May 25th release.

I'd stick with Ocean's 13 as an outside bet, with HP5 being the for sure thing.

"TRAILER" UPDATE SLASHFILM.COM is calling BS on this teaser report -- which I don't doubt. I will say that it wouldn't surprise me in the least if one is attached to POTTER -- it is Warner Bros.'s big tentpole film this summer. I have heard some scuttlebutt of attaching one with PIRATES 3, but that I find unlikely.

Yep! Like i said regarding that rumour from AICN saying a teaser will be with Potter. We have seen these type of whispers and rumours before and 99.9% of the time they turn out to be BULL CRAP! This one will most likely turn out that way as well. I'll believe it when I see it.....

I thought Harry Potter was mostly a childrens film no? Not exactly the same audience as TDK. Pirates has a good overlap in children, teens, adults.

It seems mediocre because we're movie geeks and snobs. Average people will run to Oceans 13 in droves. Like they ran to Oceans 12 in droves even those we knew it was going to suck.

Also, Harry Potter is much, MUCH more than a children's film. It captures the preteen/teen audience perfectly, and thusly, gets tons of parents and little brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles to tag along. You pretty much get the exact same audience for Potter as you do for Pirates.

One of the first films to have the Batman Begins trailer/teaser ( dont remember which) was Oceans 12. That is why I think Oceans 13 could be a possibility.

As far as Harry Potter being mostly a childrens film - hell no. I believe the last one was PG 13 and the books/movies are still incredibly popular with college/high school age students.
