Anthony Michael Hall in TDK

I would have to agree and think he has Resemblance to Edward "E." Nigma. It makes total sense and that would be the biggest surprise leading into the next movie. But if one of the posters is correct, he does also resemble a older version of the young boy Batman runs into in Batman Begins, Maybe Robin? Which would be terrible. I’m hoping for the Riddler.

Tuesday, May 21, 2007 - 5:23 AM CENTRAL TIME: Yesterday, I told you that a scooper told me about the casting of Anthony Michael Hall several weeks ago and I kinda sorta blew it off. Well, I had to eat a bit of crow on that one. Anyway, this scooper emailed me overnight to tell us that AMH is definitely portraying a villain in THE DARK KNIGHT. Now the question is which one? A classic Bat-rogue or one created for TDK? I'm guessing it's the former myself. Unfortunately, our scooper doesn't know exactly which one. BOF'ers are guessing up a storm -- spitting out just about every Bat-baddie in the book. Our guy is trying to find out, so stay tuned...

In my opinion, he will be playing Riddler. Why I think this? Because of the fact that he can't reveal his name and that he isn't a comic book fan, but he recognizes the significance of the character, like ThatDamnNinja posted above. Read his post here, I totally agree with him:

Think of AMH's Riddler as Hannibal Lector. Nygma shared a cell with him and now is in Arkham pushing Batman along to where he needs to go to find the Riddler.

Some of you have said that he might be playing Roman Sionis a.k.a. Black Mask. I think the Morgan Freeman part really helped in the discovery.

...and he began burning down Wayne properties. This time he also kidnapped Lucius Fox, CEO of Waynetech and friend of Bruce Wayne. Batman infiltrated the gang and was able to save Fox from Black Mask's torture...

I'm one of those thinking he is going to be Roman Sionis, with a slight chance he might be Nygma. He will be called those two names as well for most of the movie if not all. I don't see Nolan choosing to have him called "Black Mask" or "Riddler" by name in TDK.

If that's the case than Janus could work into the movie's plotline where you could have two lunatics running around---one horribly scarred by their cosmetics and the other someone who worked for Janus as a chemist, then got into the wrong crowd because he had to (Joker) to support his wife and unborn child.

I'm going to go with my gut and say that he will be Green Arrow in a tragic sense. I think he will be more villainous than heroic in TDK, but it would make a great spin off into David Goyer's movie where Green Arrow goes to jail. IMO of course.

I wish people would wake up and realize the number of villains doesn't matter. It's all about how they're presented. And how many PLOTLINES there are. That was people's problem with SM3; not that there was 3 villains in it, but the fact that it was so jammed packed, that the villains were shortchanged.

This is a strong possibility. It would be even more interesting if AMH character was related to Earle.

well.. that little plot thigi there is a fantastic startingpoint for Spinnoff movies sett in tne nolanverse.. Imagine a Green Arrow movie sett in the same universe..
