Default 3D simulation of ancient Rome created

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070611/...ome_virtual_dc

Could be interesting to look at. You always wish you could go back in time and be a fly on the wall during these civilizations. Not go back in time as you are, because they'd deem you some type of demon and behead you on sight.

They should restore all ancient ruins, such as rome, greace, egypt. i would have loved to see what they looked like when they first were built, instead of wasting our money on bull****, consider fixing up all those places, instead of letting them sit and fall apart.

That would cost a vastly large amount o' cash.

"Roam"?!

C'mon, man! The correct spelling is in the title!

And what is the bull**** we're wasting our money on now?

E-Jipped

It's when you're highest bidder on eBay for a Wii, and they just send you a Wii box with a brick in it.

Okay,
1. Rome is an modern city, they can't restore the entire thing. Millions of people live there.
2. Greece and Egypt are countries, what the **** are you talking about "rebuild them"?
3. Alot of what's left is restored, the Greek and Roman governments spend massive amounts on the upkeep on the Flavian Amphitheater, Ara Pacis, Trajan's Column, Palantine, Parthenon, Erechtheion, Propylae. Egypt moved the entirety of the Temple of Ramses II block by block like 20 years ago to save it.

There are certainly ruins that need saving. But nobody's letting everything fall apart. And you can't just rebuild things. It doesn't work like that.

Edit: BTW the simulation is really cool, I hope they'll make some way of letting people have access to it other than going to Rome for their movies, or what I bet would be a massive price for the software.
