Reporters...Interviewers... Can they start asking the right questions???

Even liking the film (though it's not perfect I admit) I find myself getting VERY annoyed with the lack of an objective viewpoint coming across from any so called reporter or interviewer. So many things can be improved upon for a sequel yet nobody is speaking up for the majority of the fanbase *sigh* It sadly is feeling like the old Burton/McG/Ratner days

Also if we aren't seeing any positive info coming out I'll be joining the "reboot" fans pretty soon. I like Routh, he's awesome. I like Singer too, he's talented. But what I like most of all and what comes first is the character of Superman. Somehow the reason we are all fans, the character himself Superman, has has been getting lost between people who are split on SV or split on SR.

I get more amazed by the lack of comprehension. I didn't say an interviewer should go up to Singer and say his movie flat out sucked. I said to be more objective in what questions are asked and how they are asked. Even if you don't get an answer it is good for the fans to get certain things across.

These people don't have the same objectives as the fans. The thing is, Alan Horne doesn't traditionally do press conferences (and he is really the only one who can shed light on this).

Still it seems silly. Get a non answer with the same question or get a non asnwer with a newer question getting across a more objective view. Hmm..

what I would've like to have seen was someone ask Singer/Peters/ Harris & Dougherty/Routh questions like:

How do you feel about the criticisms of the first film:
- lacking action?
- borrowing too much from Richard Donner?
- the conundrum of the super kid?
- the new super suit?
- another hoaky Lex land scheme?
- Lex having to become a petty swindler?
- superman leaving earth for 5 years?

Etc., etc. You're right people shouldnt go up to singer and tell him that he sucks yak balls, but it would be nice to see how he addresses the constructive criticisms of his film, rather than the usual cow-towing we see from so called "comic fan sites" who try to act nice so Singer will throw them a bone when/if production on a sequel rolls around.

there was a guy who once asked him about pirates and how they were breaking records. you could see how he talked and on hes face. he was acting like a complete idiot. he couldnt even say a normal sentence.

While I don't agree with all of your criticism's I personally would still find that MUCH more compelling and an example of GOOD journalism than the "Singer you did everything right, I'm not gay but I can learn" interviewing style

haha Yea not one of his more graceful moments indeed!

I remember Bryan Singer looked like a deer caught in head lights lol He started talking, and sounded like he had down syndrome!

I think this is when the WB noticed that he wasn't the right guy... I don't care what he says I don't think the WB will greenlight a sequel with him as director.

If anything he will end up as a producer to a future semi-sequel with maybe Brandon, and Spacey returing but with an entire new writing team coming in with a new director.

I would hope they just did a total reboot!
