If the conversation's ps3 vs xbox360 I'm always going to come down on the 360's side because I prefer it as a console, think it's more focussed on gaming rather than multimedia and has a better library of games

That does not however mean the ps3 is a bad console. Hell I'm a HD-DVD supporter with 4 blu-rays in my collection. If a format has something I want that I can't get with my prefered format I'll buy it on what I consider the (marginally)lesser system.

I love Japanese RPG's and gran turismo is a must

ratchet and clank is going to be awesome

plus it lets me play most of my ps2 games which I wisely hung onto after my console crapped out

I can't for the life of me understand however, WHY THE **** FINAL FANTASY VII IS NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE YET?

We're talking about a game that most critics will agree is in the top five games ever made, many would even say it's number one!
