Posh Spice?

Why is this woman so famous? I'm seeing more and more stories about her, she got her own NBC special. I just don't get it, she was in one of the worst singing groups ever and she married a soccer star, how does that make you famous? Soccer isn't even popular in America! Don't we have enough "famous" people for no apparent reason people in America, do we really need to import them?!?!?!

Paris Hilton is famous, and has done about jack ever.

Spice Girls were bigger than big. Huger than huge, and she was the only one who really stuck around (albiet due to her hubby).

she's like the british paris hilton... only she used to be in a fad band of non talented semi attractive women 10 years ago that had 3 "hits". wow, what a claim to fame!

seriously, though, i'm sick of this woman already. and she's getting ready to have some reality show about her and beckham "adjusting" to life in america?

Oh, I'm trying not to pay attention, but she's f'ing everywhere right now! I won't watch her "special", I don't buy those crappy celebrity magazines, I feel bad for making this thread because I know it's just feeding into the marketing plan, but I just really can't understand it. Davids got more going for him than her. (even tho he wont(might not) be playing this weekend and they have sold butt loads of tickets :P)

Most people in the UK just tried to ignore them for the last 10 years but they are a media cash cow. As long as paparazzi can make money off them your gonna see their faces.

As far as her husband David goes , you guys may not care about soccer but its still the biggest sport in the world so magazines in europe, asia, south america, africa and the far east still buy into his image 'brand Beckham'. The guy has promoted everything addidas, pepsi, gillette.

It saves them thinking about the bad things in the real world that are headline/discussion worthy. Who wants to hear about the how things are going in Iraq or how a terrorist may kill you when you can read about Britney going crazy or Paris going to jail or Lindsey going back to rehab.
