Recently the new owners of Disney finally closed the department that produced those horrible Disney sequels. We were all happy since we hated those sequels. However, you have to admit that one "franchise" was pretty cool. Of course, I'm talking about the Aladdin series. The first Aladdin movie was great. It's possibly my favorite Disney movie. The two DTV sequels, Return of Jafar and King of Thieves, were both really good. And, let us not forget about the television series:

I thought it was a good adventure tv show. |

The Aladdin sequels were good because, um, THEY MADE SENSE! What I hated about stuff like Lady and the Tramp part 20 is that it was pointless. In, Return of Jafar, for example it was a sequel everyone expected. Did anyone really think we would never see Genie Jafar? I mean, c'mon, it was so obvious that at the end of Aladdin they were setting up a sequel. I remember walking out of Aladdin in `92 and saying, "I can't wait for the sequel." I was just disappointed that it was DTV and not theater.

I've got to agree. Aladdin was the only property Disney spun off that felt quality every time. The sequels, the shows, they were all good, IMHO.

1) They were thinking ahead. 2) There was enough material there to produce two sequels and a TV show |

I love that show.
The villain with the skeleton arm and zombie army was awesome.

just cuz i don't really care for shows in general. i've never seen Lost, 24, or Heroes just because they're shows. if they were movies i probably would've watched them...

it did certainly have a good stint.
however surprisingly the best series spin off from films was hercules telling tales of his earlier adventures. i thought those cartoons were excellent, the dialogue, comedy and action were all top notch |

Aladdin was the s**t. I didn't care for Return of Jafar since Robin Williams wasn't in it. King of Thieves was good, though.
