He's pretty much been a staple of comedy for years, but as a film geek, are you a fan of the guy's body of work, or no? I did like Mr. Deeds for what is worth, and 50 First Dates was interesting. I do find it funny how in every movie he's this ladies man able to snag all these chicks, particularly in 50 First Dates where a montage is featuring multiple females talking about how good he was in bed, one of which was some asian chick saying how he "pounded her like a mallard duck",(I swear that had me on the floor laughing). Point blank, are you a Sandler fan, or is he just...whatever?

He's just whatever...
I liked Spanglish...and any other film he did that wasn't a stupid, frat guy mentality-type comedy. That said, I have absolutely no interest in I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry...I'm heterosexual, but I have gay friends, and I don't see the humor in cracking gay jokes for 100+ minutes... CFE

Well, he plays the same character in pretty much every movie....
With that being said, for anyone who has seen "Spanglish," Sandler did prove that he could act very well in a drama movie.

I like a lot of his movies, but I also hate a lot of them, too. I don't have any interest in Chuck and Larry, nor do I think he looks funny in it.
Lately, Sandler has been doing his movies kinda half-assed, if you ask me. From the mumbling and under the breath way of talking and the 5 o'clock shadow, he's turning into a bum and just assuming people will see his films.

I liked Click and Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison is ok to watch when bored out of skull. Adam has his hits and misses like most decent actors.

Adam Sandler is to white people what the Wayne's Brothers are to black people, both are talented but they both put out schlock generic films that they know people will flock to.

I like Adam Sandler too. Waterboy, Reign Over Me, Big Daddy, Spanglish, Punch Drunk Love, 50 First Dates, and Click are some of my favorite films that he stars in. Click, however, is one of his best films that tugged at my emotional strings.
I feel he should do more serious roles though. He has the talent to be a very convincing actor. |

I don't know why people are so in love with Spanglish, it was pretty mediocre, I mean the scene in the car from a cinematography point of view were absolutely dreadful, and while I like the over-all idea, it was pretty mediocre... Not to get all Cyrusbales but if it just makes me want go see a Pedro Almodóvar film. Also for all intents and purposes Punch Drunk Love proved Sandler can act and is an awesome film.

It's odd, I like most of his movies, but he's my least favorite thing about them. In fact, I find the guy generally irritating. I never even liked him on SNL, I just don't buy into his "shouting is funny" routine, nor his bizarre baby talk shtick.

But if you read the entire sentence, it basically spells it out.
