All right I liked Ultimate_Evil's thread however I was the only one actually doing analyzing so here it is, a thread where you can post your top 5-10 movies and I'll analyze your movie tastes and even give you some recommendations, you then can tell me how close I was. Please don't whine about taking forever this is simply for when I have writers block or I'm procastinating, also I think it helps in anaylzing what viewers want from there movies. So step on up...

I'll post my list later on today, but I wish we could post 20 films instead of 10.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a website where you could plug in your top ten movies and it would give back insightful personality test results.
I would make such a website if I weren't such a slacker.

This changes all the time, but here it goes:
In no particular order: Halloween The Devil's Rejects The Departed Dawn of the Dead (Original) Goodfellas Christine They Live The Lost Boys John Carpenter's The Thing The Terminator Man on Fire (Tony Scott version) These are the movies that I enjoy watching the most. They all aren't the movies that I think are the most technically profficient. My favorite movies and best movies lists differ greatly. Last edited by ToddIsDead; 07-29-2007 at 06:36 PM. |

I have analysed the favourite movies of those who posted, and used it to gain meaningful insight into their personalities.
Here are my results. All those posted are 18-30 year old males.

I'm 16, so your analyzing skills are flawed.

Your a fan of movie magic, you like seeing things you can't see in everyday life. However you need a good solid character to anchor the story, the character needs to be interesting, entertaining, and most of empathetic, you want to feel there pain or at the very least see things through there eyes. You also appriciate a good twist ending but not at the expense of story, it needs to flow, and so it doesn't have to be there but when it is and when it fits just right, it's awesome. You like movies that make you think well after you see them, however you also like a movie that leave you satisfied, in the end it's about balanace and making an entertaining film.
