Are they still aiming Captain America for 2009?
I hope so. I hate waiting Cap until 2010. July 3rd 2009 is a great release date.

It would be better if they didn't try to aim for a release date so soon. I think we could all agree that it's better if they took the time to get the script perfect and find the right actor to play Cap than aim for an earlier release date. I wouldn't mind waiting for a year for a Cap movie to be done right.

I think they're waiting for the money to start coming from Iron man and maybe Hulk before they start producing Captain America

They have a writer (David Self) hired, next step is a director. Since this is Marvel, I would bet that Cap gets on the big screen sooner than the other DC heroes we're waiting to see.

^ Looks like it. For $500 million, I think they're still short for 100 million to make the 4th movie if each averaged for about $150 million.
