I heard that Branch got pregnant, had a child, and recently she collaborated with another musician for some blues music. Basically she decided not to be famous anymore.

What he said. I heard she married her manager or whatever he was. He was in his late 40's back then and she was in her early 20's.

Said she didn't like doing pop songs.

Oh I remember that now.

She also did a shoot for Maxim and went on the board of her website and *****ed out her own fans.

Funny how most pop stars would love to have Branch's career, but she'd rather throw all her success away just because she didn't like doing pop songs.

Well she shouldn't have become a musician, or at least not try to have a career in music and keep it as a hobby.

I guess she wanted to do her own kind of music and not be a corporate puppet to the system of something. But I mean that's kinda how it is. You gotta play along for a while until you have enough success to have say over your career. I mean she had atleast 3 or 4 hit songs. It's also like that in the movie business, you have to do a certain amount of things before you have any say in something.

But I guess she's just happy being a soccer mom. I admit I had the two cd's of her and thought she was cute.

She was a runner-up of American Idol about a couple of years ago. The winner, Taylor Hicks, pretty much disappeared altogether after his album bombed.

Regarding Michelle Branch:

After two hit cds she got married and had a kid...but did not retire.

She put a duo together and released a country album, which sold almost a million copies, and the single was nominated for a Grammy.

She also did work for other artists in her down time.

She is finishing up a new country solo album that will be released fairly soon.

In other words, she didnt go anywhere.

Not to bog this thread now anymore, but I heard her new song and it sounds like a country pop rock song. And she still looks the same, meaning good.

Yeah, that black dress fits nicely. But we can all agree she looks better with darker hair.

I would like to see her as a red head too. Not a fan of her music, but she looks pretty hot.

Its funny, the people who usually don't win AI have longer careers then the people who do. i think the only two people who still have careers from winning are Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

Yep, they're the only two. Clay Aiken lost, but was way more successful than Ruben, but he's disappeared for the time being (thank god)
Jordin Sparks and David Cook are still successful as well.

He didn't win though. I guess I should have said 4. Fantasia is still around, but she's been doing broadway shows and stuff.
