Ya I read his post. All his said was that if you actually had conversations with the other members, you might have their email addresses, and then wouldnt need the forum to chat.

Also, why dont you cry about it? Forums get shutdown on a daily basis. If you had friends on there then you'd be able to get in contact with them. Email, hello? you have to have an email account to sign up. Crying about hwo your one connection to society outside these forums is kinda sad.

sorry, but i stand by the fact that you're pathetic if you have 30 friends via a forum that you cant get ahold of some other way.

hell, i frequent a forum that I joined back in 02, and have something like 70 people on my AIM list from said forum. i talk to a few of them on a daily basis, but if the forum were to shut down (and it has, many, many times) i'd either a) find a way to get in contact with them by googling their username, or something equal to that, or b) forget about it and move on.

obviously you're too stupid to do either, so continue to cry in your corner with your good charolette on slittling your wrists over how nintendo isn't fair.

I've been here for 7 years and could care less about having anyones AIM name. You stop being stupid and go get some actual friends.

Ah, I'm pathetic because Nintendo forbade putting personal info in profiles and thus I can't now get their contact info. I'm also pathetic because those 30 people happen to not have AIM (yeah, I checked. There you go with your assumptions again! You're such a freaking genius!)

Googling their usernames sure is helpful when the only website they were a part of was NSider! Good thinking sherlock! And, unlike you SouLeSS, I happen to care about friends. Sure, I'll have to move on if I can't find them, but there was no reason I should have to stay out of contact with them because of corporate greed. Even a day's warning would have worked wonders.

K, I'll do that. But you have to promise me that whenever you use your ingenius mind and voice your "intelligent" and oh so appreciate opinions that you make sure the internetz is broken. It would be doing the world quite a favor.

Because in the 13 years I've been going by the name SouLeSS I've never heard that one.

Also, I have 70~+ friends on my AIM because the community was relativly small, and I held many staff positions, so getting in contact of other staff members was an important part of it.

It's not like this forum where theres like 10k posts a day, and a ****ton of new members everyday that come and go.

No you dont. MAJOR site overhaul. HUGE site update. These things take a little something called time, and the forums are probably just not very high on the list. My prediction is, by the end of this year, there will be Nintendo forums again.

Even if there is a forum by the end of the year, it's not because they planned it all along. I mean, sure, it's inevitable that eventually SOMEDAY there will be a Nintendo forum, but that doesn't mean they're planning on it right now. After 4 months, a forum can be set up. It's really not that hard to make one. If they really wanted to, it'd have been here long ago.
