As much as I want to see the comic book Hulk characters bought to life, there is an aspect of the T.V. show that has always stood out. When Banner changed into the Hulk in the television show, what sold the change more than anything was that look in his eyes. The look of fear from knowing what he was about to become. That look still to today sends a slight chill up my spine.Anybody with me?

Have to agree...

I agree(even though I could never figure our why he had white eyes instead of green ones in the TV show) and , other than with the teaser trailer, they never did the eye thing in the last movie.

^Other than in the teaser trailer, when did they do it? They sure didn't do anything like it was in the TV show.

Is the last Bruce Banner image that we see ... in the Jungle, with the camera that cilmb up. Do you remember "Me sta enojando"? Is not like the TV show moment... but is surely inspired by it.
The TVShow's Eyes are the greatest Idea from that show, in fact has been used a lot in the comics.

According to Gotham, the glowing eyes will be in the movie at least once.

Looks like that pic was photo-shopped to exaggerate the eyes, but it's still pretty sweet.
Speaking of which, and maybe this sounds totally noob-ish, but how come some folks on these boards can post pics while others ( me ) cannot? Length of membership? Quantity of posts? Special privileges? Bribery? Using the Dark Side of The Force? Just wondering...

Well that's extremely good news.
Now only if they have Hulk speak as well, it'll all but cover all my desires in seeing my favorite character bought to life.

As a child, I was so afraid of that. I could watch after he was the Hulk, but the white eyes on Bill Bixby scared me much more than Lou Ferrigno, that's for sure

Oh, baby, I LOVE the eyes, too!
If they only keep two elements of the TV show, let it be: 1) The absolute pathos that Bixby brought to Banner (you REALLY felt for Banner and wanted to see him find happiness...yet never hated the Hulk for cursing him. You rooted for Banner AND the Hulk) and 2) The Point of No Return Eyes!!!!!!! YES!!!! ![]() The close-up shot of Banner's eyes coupled with that startling chime/music made everybody watching think, "OH CRAP, IT'S ON, NOW!" When you saw the eyes, you knew it was Go-Time. Justice was about to be served (to some low-life creep that was bullying people around, usually). There was such anticipation while Banner was slowly getting angry. Then you saw the eyes and it was Game Over. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN THE NEW MOVIE! |

That's one thing that I always liked about Bixby's performance. He didn't want the change to happen, but once it started, it was almost like a ....
RELEASE, in the "adult" sense of the word. BIxby seemed to emote, "I hate what is about to happen to you, good sir, but I did try to warn you." It's like the personality of the Hulk was the first part of the transformation, with the physical part being the actual last part of the transformation. Bixby and Reeve, in my opinion, have been the best comic book actors to portray their characters. Bixby always seemed to give off a vibe of just being so tense right under the surface. I picked up on it even as a kid. |
