Default Tekken 6 to become multiplatform?

I don't know

---

Tekken 6 On Xbox 360 Is Highly Probable

Tekken 6 will be hitting the Playstation 3 in 2008. Tekken has always been a Playstation only series since day one. Even the first Tekken was developed on the PS1 arcade board. Namco followed suit with every game in the series including 6, which is being developed on PS3 arcade hardware. Another series that was Playstation only was the Ace Combat series. Ace Combat 6 is now a 360 exclusive. Does Namco have reason to bring Tekken 6 to the 360? Read on for the facts.
We’ve already seen proof that it’s easy to port any game over to the 360. AM2 did just that with Virtua Fighter 5 which is graphically identical to it’s PS3 cousin. So porting Tekken 6 over wouldn’t be a difficult task. It’s all a matter of whether or not putting Tekken 6 on the 360 makes sense financially.
Halo 3 sales opened the eyes of a lot of game publishers. You can’t deny that they want a piece of the Halo pie. The 360 attach rate is higher in Japan than it is for the PS3. It’s 3.6 games per system on the 360 versus 1.7 games per system on the PS3. With an attach rate so high it’s almost a no brainer to greenlight games on the 360. It’s why Ridge Racer, Beautiful Katamari and Ace Combat 6 are already on the 360.
The next thing it comes down to is whether or not 3D fighting games are still good sellers. Well we know they sell in the US, but in Japan it’s quite different. To everyone’s surprise, Virtua Fighter 5 moved only 82,000 copies total in Japan. That’s pretty sad considering Virtua Fighter 2 broke 1 million+ and the acclaimed worst game in the series, Virtua Fighter 3TB moved 365,000 copies. Attach rate is a big deciding factor. It’s probably what made Sega put Virtua Fighter 5 on the 360 in the first place.
Japanese publishers are highly interested in the western market these days. In order to sell their IP’s to a worldwide market, they must be more open to system diversity. You cannot ignore a combined 360/PS3 userbase of 18 million. The possibility of Tekken 6 coming out on the 360 is very high given the current state of gaming. We won’t know for sure until next year so for now, enjoy Katamari and AC6.

I wish the Xbox was getting so much love last generation. I really thought RE4 would be amazing on the Xbox.

I used to be such a huge fan of fighters but my interest has definetly gone down. They arent the big draw they used to be.

Tekken coming to the 360 would be a serious blow to Microsoft.

It makes perfect sense. You just need to think really hard.

A serious blow to Sony.... or A serious blow from Microsoft... Otherwise your sentence is wrong.

I get that you mis-wrote a sentence and have spent 4 posts trying to be funny and acting like you were right.

Ok. Reread the sentence one more time, but this time, pretend that the author doesn't like Tekken. Do you get it now? Jesus, I thought with all this Harry Potter nonsense the people were actually starting to become literate again

Oh I forgot, seeing as how we are best buds and I follow everything you say, of course I knew you dislike Tekken. And you already hate M$ anyway, so what kind of sarcastic blow would it give? It was a dumb and unnecessary thing to say, and even further unnecessary to spend this much time defending your make-no-sense comment.

So, you read what I posted, and what you took away from it was "in order to understand this, I would need prior knowledge that you dislike Tekken"? For real? This isn't a special online edition of Punk'd or anything? I guess you typing "M$" with a dollar sign really says it all, but still, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't shocked. I thought I had already lost all faith in the posters here, so I guess I should thank you for reminding me that I still had some to lose. So, uh, thanks for the incompetence I guess

What the hell are you talking about? Your post could have easily been a typo. Very easily in fact. I don't know you, nor have I ever payed attention to your username until today when I realized how much time you have on your complaining hands.

I'm going to go into a transformers thread and write this

"I loved Transformers, I hope they make another one."
And I'll just assume that everyone else in the thread knows that I don't like Transformers and that I'm being a sarcastic jerk.

Just out of slight curiosity, you wouldn't happen to have any type of source that you used to come to that conclusion would you? I mean any insights on how you know the definitive answer to the question of 'Will Tekken 6 come to the 360' would be greatly appreciated.

The difference is that mine wasn't sarcasm, it was plain English, for all to see and read. If you don't grasp the difference between that and your example, your lack of comprehension runs deeper than I expected

I wouldn't be surprised, since all of Namco's next gen output is multiplatform so far (including AC6)
