Oh, sweet Jesus! I now have faith in this movie. I know this was posted in the "how should it be adapted?" thread, but I figured it deserves it's own thread. Last edited by Sasso; 10-25-2007 at 03:06 PM. |

hmm. yes. i like. sometimes i have faith in the guy, sometimes i don't. right now, i do. once again, next step is costumes. then the next step is first footage. but obviously the real test is the final product.

Given that shot of Rorschach that was slapped together on the spot, I have absolute faith in Snyder's visual direction for this movie. I'm a little concerned that they are gonna try to make Night Owl look badass, I'd prefer that he look like a man in a mid-life crisis. However, I can live with that, Wilson played a mid-life crisis to perfection in Little Children, so I'm sure he'll nail Dan regardless of what his costume looks like. The ending was my main sticking point, and now that it is out of the way, I have nothing but the highest hopes for this film. Not even Ackerman can get me down.

This is great news. Now the movie will be good.
Of course I would still argue that this movie shouldn't be made in the first place.

Cancha give a guy a break? At least we won't get a Shakey McBourne version where the story and visuals are all but unrecognizable.

Good to hear that he's keeping the ending. I hope that means the whole alien plot AND Veidt not dying.

wow. i just got kinda giddy.....and maybe got a little bit of a boner. awesome.
im not too sure he was talking so much about the alien plot. maybe he was, i dunno, i'd love for it to be in there. but i think this was mostly in regards to veidt.

There needs to be some clarification on this matter. Snyder should specify exactly which part of the ending he is talking about.

Viedt will live. As for the squid, it requires the complicated Island business -- so I don't know. For me, this is one of those things that I will wait until 2009 for.

I'm really digging what Snyder is saying. He seem's to have his head on right about the film, too.

He never actually says that Veidt lives. He could just be talking about all the people dying or even the squid being used.

I knew it! I have total faith in Snyder. We will all be very lucky that he's directing. I have a feeling that this will be the best graphic novel movie yet!
And concerns about costumes? Not one bad one in "300." He can do the costumes just like in the comic book if he wanted to. He ain't Shumacher (Batmans 3 and 4) and he ain't Singer (changing classic X-Men costumes - not because they would look goofy in real life, but just because he didn't know how to film them correctly). I'm sure Zach Snyder could have figured out a way of doing Green Goblin costume correctly from Spidermans as well. |

Great news.
I'm looking forward to this film more and more here lately.
