No I don't think so. It'll take more than a lawsuit to kill Superman.

I tried reading the Newsarama info and my head spun. Both sides would be better off settling for some $$. Even if they win 50% of the rights back. I can't see the Siegel's taking the property elsewhere. Since Warner/DC owns the other 50%. They would just be entitled to 50% of the profits. So again it all comes down to $$.

"a suit brought against Warners by the widow and daughter of Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel threatening reportedly 50 percent of the rights for both Superboy and Superman."
in all honestly, they only deserve 25%. The other 25% should go to Mr. Shusters family. And WB can keep their 50%, as it is they who own everything else to do with Superman. I'm all for property rights being passed from generation to generation... but within reason. Unless she's a badass writer, and comicbook artist, I don't think she deserves the full 1/2 of Seigel's claim on the property Infact, patent laws are plain ridiculous. I understand the need for them... but there should be a temporal limitation on them (as there is supposed to be) I mean, I wonder if Picasso's family sues people, every time one of his paintings goes up for auction?

this is old news, this has been going on for years. this will still be tied up in the court system LONG after Smallville is off the air.
