Default JLA Trilogy

If the film does spawn sequels given what we know so far, how would you progress the story in a trilogy?

I think if Superman plays the villian(even though he is mind controled) and is defeated by Batman it slightly diminishes him alittle. Obviously Wonder Woman is involved in the fight as well, but my money is on Batman taking him down in the end, because WB has liked the idea of the Superman vs Batman idea. It's going to be odd seeing Superman in a film where he doesn't save the day.

I'd make the next film the Death of Superman, with Doomsday taking out the league and it's Superman who is the last line of defense, and ultimately the hero before his death. Except I wouldn't bring him back until the 3rd film. I would tie Doomsday in with Darkseid and at the end of the 2nd film as the heros look to the future without the man of steel Darkseids fleet is shown heading to Earth. That would be a great dark 2nd act like Empire Strikes Back.

The 3rd film could open with the league searching for some new members to replace Superman when Darkseid attacks. Then at some point Superman would return, and fight along side the league and the new members in an action packed final film.

Well that's one idea I had for a trilogy, there are so many other good storylines they could adapt though...

Sequel: Alien Invasion, White Martians with false superhero guises would be incredible...

Threequel: Darkseid done right.

That's almost exactly what I had in mind.

Ignoring what we know of movie 1...

I'd have 1 have the White Martians, set up the 7 leaguers etc BUT the Martians were being manipulated by another player to test Earth's defences at no risk. Thus, the audience are introduced to Darkseid... dun dun dunnn!

Two would be some kind of variation on the Injustice League/Secret Society/Legion of Doom/whatever. Just a nice big super villain team. And add in more Leaguers too- I'm thinking Black Canary and Green Arrow at least. At the end, Superman discovers how Lex (who would of course be the leader of said evil society) was able to put this together- he was being supplied technology from... Darkseid!

Movie 3- The JLA are alert, sniffing around for traces of this Darkseid who they suspect has been manipulating them. Being Darkseid, he invades the Earth with a full armada. Massive battle, epic moments for all. End trilogy.

Basically, a trilogy steadily introducing new members with Darkseid as the arch-villain over all three films.

Changed my mind.

I would like them to shoot a trilogy all at once, LOTR style.

In the first one I'd introduce the big 7 against a simple but challenging villain, like Despero. The second one I'd have them starting to team up with some of the guys who rejected the first offers as they deal with an Injustice Gang that turns out to be the White Martians on a big giant invasion, of which Despero was simply a fore runner - some heroes die, some are gravely injured. Finally, the mastermind hinted from the end of the first movie will be revealed, Darkseid and with his personal bodyguards, a force of white martian/parademons and being simply unbeatable he proceeds to harvest the Earth, while the world huddles, awaiting their end... And all the heroes, and some villains join forces to fight this monster.
