I'm always of the opinion that you can tell a richer, more nuanced and more epic story in mini-series and series form. Done well we can have a good Flash series that runs for years and organically grows from Barry to Wally, to Bart, bringing in all the Flash family and the Rogues. It's just dependent on the creative team. Look at the mythology spun off from Stargate, or think of how The Sopranos would have been told if it were a movie.
I for one always felt that literary characters (including comics) are better served by giving them space and time to tell the whole story fully. Heck, with SG, Sanctuary, the upcoming Spartacus, I'm sure we are not far from if not already at the point where we can have a Flash series that looks as it should. I also think that the Bond books should be done as a series. Exact to how they were written, in order, with the same actor throughout. Start with Fleming then Amis, Faulks, Gardner and Benson chronologically how the story actually unfolds.

totally, looking at most of flash's rouges they are pretty goofy looking or what not. But any one can write them out to be alot better and all that.

I've only seen Captain Cold in the Justice series, but there wasn't anything special about him one way or another to me. Just seems to me like he's some guy trying to emulate Freeze. I'm sure his origin has nothing to do with that though.

Considering how Flash's rogues are set up, I would honestly put in three of them at once. Captain Cold, Weather Wizard, and Trickster. They would be the main antagonist. It works here because of their relationship in the books, and Flash could easily deal with three at once. Plus it would look cool as hell seeing them all use their powers at once battling him.

So... Has anything about this film been confirmed? Like:
-Is the script being written? -Which Flash will they use? (Barry Allen, Wally West) -Does it have a director? I'm kinda getting interested in more DC characters, all my comics are Marvel. Trying to branch out a little bit

Script is being written by Geoff Johns (yay!!). Hopefully it is Barry Allen. It most likely is cuz Hal is the GL in the GL film and that would make sense.

Can't forget that dan muzeau is writing the scipt and I think that was announced in february. Barry Allen's return in comics is most likely because they want a movie with him because that just seems like a corporate decision.

Yea well i think personally even though i am not a huge fan like i mentioned before. I think its much easier to start off with barry then down the road move on to wally and all that. Heck wally could still be in the film and be a young teen say between 11-16yrs old. Then maybe in sequel get the flash powers or some other what not.

I think the first film should have Captain Cold as the main villian. He's the Flash's Joker/Luthor, well you know what I mean.

I'd save him for the second one. So that way all of the origin stuff is out of the way and the focus could be on Flash vs Cold. I think The Trickster or Weather Wizard would be the more suitable villain for the original.

i think the Flash is the only superhero franchise that I know that can have multiple villain team ups, due to its colorful and tongue-in-cheek tone.

I think Chris Evans would make a great Flash/Barry Allen.

even though i dont know much on flash's rogues i would love to see mirror master in first film. He could be a very interesting and cool visual foe to go with.

Likewise, Wally West fans don't want to wait through 3 Barry Allen Flash movies before they do one about Wally, so I hope that Warner Bros. can find a direction to take with the franchise that will keep most fans happy.
