THE CLOCK TURNS BACK FOUR MONTHS AS THIS SEASON'S SECRETS ARE REVEALED; LEONARD ROBERTS RETURNS -- When the clock turns back four months for all of the Heroes, Nathan pays a terrible cost for his heroic actions. While Peter survives his detonation over New York City, the Company "bags" him as a threat to the world, eventually leading to violent confrontation with Elle (Kristen Bell) and the Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis). D.L. (Leonard Roberts) makes the ultimate sacrifice for Niki (Ali Larter) and Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey). Maya (Dania Ramirez) horrifically manifests her dark powers for the first time, driving her and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) to America for help. A mysterious, yet familiar face is introduced. David Anders, Jack Coleman, Dana Davis, Greg Grunberg, James Kyson Lee, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy also star. Carlon Jeffery, Nichelle Nichols and Stephen Tobolowsky guest star.

I can't wait to see how Adam came about in the present time.

Adam is immortal, hes been alive since being blown up by Hiro

From the preview it seems like Peter helps Adam escape the Company, and he returns the favor by healing Nathan maybe?

We know Adam is immortal, but can he heal others?

That was the discussion in the other thread that over the generations hes been alive that he has been able to develop other powers based off his immortality.

That would be a good theory. Over the course with his immortality he could develop more ways of using his power.

He's immortal because of his power of regeneration. Immortality isn't his power, just the result of it. And Peter already has that power.

Thus making Peter the strongest of them all.


I'd like to see another secondary ability for this regeneration where literally making your cells make your skin so tuff that it would be impossible to break through it.


Anyway yeah, I don't know how sylar is going to play into this, we also don't know if regeneration can cure Maya curse, and alejandro may be the only way to subside it.

You know, I just realized that Nathan hasnt used his powers in this whole season. Just a little detail I thought I'd share.
Anyway, the preview showing Nathan and Peter flying into the sky looks pretty awesome. Bet theres going to be some great SFX.

It was mentioned that they stated his power is immortality

That claires regeneration and Adams immortality are seperate powers.

A theory is though that regeneration leads to immortality, but

as it is known regeneration does not lead to age slow down, it has been proven that Claire has had her power since she was a baby because her mother had thought she had died in the fire she started, but didn't because she regenerated. The only thing that can contest this theory is that if she reaches a certain age and her cell regeneration stops her from aging completely

Its been seen in comics that cell regeneration can slow down the aging process but not completely stop it.

With immortality though, it completely stops it at a certain age.

So thus making Claire and Adam different characters.

Then giving Peter a reason to absorb Adams ability of immortality.

Claire didn't start displaying her regeneration abilities until six months before the series picks up. Kensei doesn't just have immortality as he heals from every wound, regardless of whether or not it's fatal. I'm sure if he lost a finger, it'd grow right back. That's regeneration.

I forgot which Hero site quoted Adam being immortal, I will look for that in the meantime.

Yet your forgetting though that it was stated in the first season that they knew about Claires power, Hiros dad was holding her before he gave her over to HRG. Also the event of when Claire met her real mother, the same thing was mentioned on how she was able to survive that fire as a baby.

Yes Kensei does heal himself, its apart of his immortality, yet I still debate that (and I know a few others debate it.) that there are different stipulations between a person with extreme regeneration, and immortality. The only problem with the way they display immortality is his extreme ability to heal quickly, which could either been the primary effect thus leading to his immortality or his immortality was the primary effect and his regeneration is just a secondary effect of immortality.

Immortality is always depicted differently over mediums.

Until proven otherwise, im still going to stay with the fact that Claire and Adam are still different characters with similar abilities.

We've been seeing in this season that alot of people are demonstrating secondary abilities, so this is where the theory about his abilities and claires branches off of, but it has been said that Adam Monroe ability is immortality.

Here is something I pulled off wiki about immortality I thought it was interesting to bring to the convo:

In the film and television series Highlander, once one dies for the first time, if they are an Immortal, they will spend the rest of eternity at that physical age. This poses a problem when one dies as a small child, or as a very old man. The same is true of Kirsten Dunst's character in the film Interview with the Vampire and the Blade television series.

I just see him doing the experiment, that was being discussed in Claire's classroom, on Nathan. So Adam's blood cell heals Nathan's wounds.

They didn't know she had abilities. That's why HRG sent Eden to get Claire off Suresh's list once he found out. If they'd known she would've been taken in by the Company and experimented on or whatever. Nobody knew until her powers manifested. I think you're reading too much into Claire's survival as a baby. She first learns of her powers when she cuts herself on the glass while she was arguing with Jackie(?).

There are too many different variations to immortality though, any theory can be developed out of it really.

I however don't think Claire is immortal, yet could get there. In the wiki about immortal they have her placed as immortal, yet with all the other stipulations about being immortal, she would of never aged from being a baby because that is truly the first time she has died, and was even said in chapter one of heroes.

Well her abilities were made present that she did survive that fire because of her regeneration abiltiy, I mean that was understood with the conversation with her biological mother in chapter one.

The only problem with that is that they did mention it, but there is some very sloppy writing in that whole explanation when they go back 16 years to explain all of that.

Also it has been shown in they show that people have been showing secondary abilities.

Im still searching from that article, I know I read it on here somewhere that someone apart of Heroes production said that Adam Monroes is immortal.
