Who the hell is Ronald D. Moore? I hope it not Ronald McDonald's other name. Both of their initial is R.M. Would you really want this clown to write Superman?

lol

Moore has written for Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek's Deep Space Nine and The Next Generation. He also wrote Star Trek First Contact. He wrote three episodes of Carnivale and 10 for Roswell also. Yes, he wrote the screenplay for Mission Impossible 2, but I'll forget that, for now.

Moore shows a wonderful ability to tell a Fantasy or Sci-Fi tale while at the same time introducing character driven, human elements into the story, which is so important for a Superman movie to succeed.

With consultation from Jeph Loeb or Timm/Dini, I'm sure he could hammer out an awesome Superman script.

Dude?...What the hell? You have said some stupid stuff in your time but this takes the cake. I guess anyone with the initials R.M. is Ronald McDonald in disguise. It wasn't even funny. Okay. You need to go back to rolling dice and seeing how much ressurrection points you can get.

You have no sense of humor then with being too serious to have one. Beside, I didn't say everyone with the initial R.M. is Ronald McDonald. Did you see one? No.

It was a one time joke, so you won't see me use R.M again. You just use insult if you're going for humor. But hey, cry me a river as you do with the suit & movie for the last 2 yrs than moving on. Now that some stupid stuff with crying & not focusing on more important thing in your life. Again, you're just too serious & that's sad. Get a humor already, kid.

And thank for telling me about who Moore is, venom. At least you have a sense of humor unlike some guys who just upset I have humor than them with not knowing what a joke is.

Believe me, I don't go overboard with my humor. I think it creepy if I keep posting more pic of Ronald there. I know you would agree with that.

If I could choose a setup of writers to work on a Superman script, I'd have one person that is an industry guy and understands the visual medium of film and how to get solid drama etc. paired up with someone who knows the Superman character like the back of his hand. This way, they'd keep each other in check ala Goyer and Nolan. Below I'll put a list of potential screenwriters and then comic specialists to be paired in whatever way seems necessary to me.

Screenwriters:

Nicholas Meyer (Star Trek II and VI)
David Self (Road To Perdition)
Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back (polish) and Return of The Jedi)
Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile)
Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby, polish for Casino Royale/Bond 22)
John Logan (The Last Samurai)
Phil Alden Robinson (Sneakers, Field of Dreams)
Steven Zaillian (Gangs of New York, Schindler's List)

Comic writers who can keep stuff on the level:

Elliot S! Maggin
Mark Waid
Grant Morrison

The next film really needs to be a low key, CHARACTER driven film that contains a few great superfights. Braniac or Eradicator is needed!

Hell, I wouldn't mind Nicholas Meyer directing the damn thing with a script written by Ronald D. Moore and Jeph Loeb!

I don't think we need to 'make' Superman relevant. We just have to tell stories which resonate with human experience. The best Superman stories are fables about love, pride, shame, fear, death, friendship etc. We can all relate to those big issues. Superman stories should represent huge, basic human dramas and human emotions, played out on a larger than life canvas
-Grant Morrison, All-Star Superman

Read this qoute. Apply this thinking with the next script, and throw in a couple bad ass superfights made at a relative cost with a cast that can act there asses off and we will be set.

I was up around L.A. a bit yesterday and from what I hear, Bryan doesn't plan on leaving any time soon. Christopher Mcquarrie would be the best bet at this stage.
