Nick Fury - Sam Jackson (although it's almost pointless writing it)

Iron Man - Robert Downey Jr or Billy Zane or Eric McThingy from Will and Grace

Thor - Viggo Mortensen (if you limit it to people who can phyisically fit the bill, you're left with body-builders and wrestlers, and I know I'd rather have someone who can act the part than someone who looks the part)
(You know what he looks like, everyone's been saying him - and rightly so)

Giant/Ant Man - Aaron Eckhart

Wasp - Shannyn Sossamon (but a little geeked-up)

Hawkeye - Timothy Olyphant

Black Widow - Ivana Milicevic

Some allowances would have to be made, obv, such as Aaron Eckhart being too old to be going out with Shannyn Sossamon, but I think these are the best choices.

for those complaining about Thor, only michael clarke duncan fits the size requirements u guys want & even then, i can already hear the complaints..."Thor is a bit leaner". i'll get no one is going to be perfect for Thor, hust like no one is perfect for Hulk.

and id go with uban for thor. looks and acts better.

Too bad some of the Avengers characters are tied up at other studios. We know Iron-Man, Ant-Man and Wasp are all tied up so they probably won't be in any for a long time. Probably have to rule out Spiderman and Wolverine because they are just too big anyway.

Not sure about Ant-Man and Wasp, but Iron Man is controlled by Marvel, dude. It's gonna be one of their first films made by themselves. So is the new Hulk movie. So Iron-Man and Hulk are very likely to show up in an Avengers film.

Urb is an excellent compromise pick for Thor. Viggo is both too small and too old. Also, acting depends on being right for the part. Sean Penn is an excellent actor, but "All the King's Men" blew because he was so woefully miscast. No one who is big enough can act.

i don't mean to cause offense to the first post in this thread, but i hate the thought of having Brad Pitt playing Captain America. but that's just my opinion, i just think it would ruin the movie for me if they cast him in the role.
Paul Walker is someone i haven't thought of in the role, could work, at the moment he's the only person i can think of that would work

and yeah paul walker was the best i could think of based on looks alone, and hes not a bad actor so i think he could pull it off.

Any one think Hulk and Iron Man will get sequels before an Avengers? How about Thor and Captain America? I am hoping each have two movies before the crossover... give one to Ant-Man and Nick Fury each. That way the actors only have to be signed to three films max... hopefully they all have that option in their contracts to star in one ensemble like WB did when they signed Bale.
