Maybe I'm crazy, but I think Cardcaptor Sakura, would be stunning (visually more than anything) in live action.

I would like to see that too. But I don't think it could be adapted into a blockbuster or an academy award winning movie.

5 Reasons Naruto Wouldn't be a good movie:

1.) Children can't act
2.) The story wouldn't work for the American audience
3.) Can't fit into 3 movies
4.) A movie with kids fighting would suck
5.) No one would finance it

Well I'm glad you agrre with me, but I do agree it can't / wont be adapted, they would have to make to many changes to the point the fans would freak like...

Ageing up the characters a few years.
Removing the gay storylines
Removing the student teacher copupleness

ect and it would also be too much for 1 movie.

Sadly, your points are valid, Naruto may/ probably will never happen.

A few can actually.

How about not making the movie for American audience. If they want to appeal to the American audience. Just dub or sub the damn thing, nothing more. Don't need white kids running running with names like Sakura, Sasuke, Itachi, etc.

Do more than 3 movies.

If done right it wouldn't. I've seen a few Asian flicks where kids throw down with the best of them.

An American company, no. An Japanese company, yes. Specifically whoever finance the Shinobi: Blade Under Heart film.

The problem isn't the names its the storyline. I think only Asian countries would watch it.

The Japanese film industry isn't as big as the American film industry. So some of the special fx would suck, look at Ryuk in Death Note.

I like Naruto a lot but it wouldn't work as a live action or cgi film sorry.

um america financed freakin speed racer, and have you forgotten karate kid thats a movie with kids fighting, and a a trilogy would be great

1
chunnin exam arc naruto struggles with fiting in and trys to redeem himself by trying to be the greatest ninja while paired up with sakura ans sasuke and teacher kakashi, villians would be oruchimaru and garra.

2

itachi returns arc, konoha is destroyed things couldnt get any worse til a man with ties to sasukes past will destroy the futures of squad 7 forever

3
sasuke retrieval arc, no brainer here folks, sasuke seeks revenge and naruto and his friends must stop sasuke from going to oruchimaru.

make the fourth a shippuden movie, so yea naruto could work people siad some of these marvel/dc movies wouldnt work but look how that turned out.

aw why you gotta be so crucial man, are you even a naruto fan otherwise this would make great ideas for a trilogy. the reason you think they suck is because your not a big fan of naruto and the fx in speed racer was good but the movie still sucked.

I'm a big fan I've read all 406 chapters, watched every episode(even fillers), and I've watched every movie. Somethings just won't work as a movie. I like:
Sailor Moon
Dragon Ball Z
Blue Seed
S Cry
Wolfs Rein
Pokemon
Shin Chan
Bleach
Tenchi Muyo
Yu Yu Hakasho
Ranma 1/2
Mega Man
Gantz
Darkstalkers
Digimon
YuGiOh
Monster Rancher
Code Geass
Shadow skill
Cardcaptor Sakura
Spirited Away
But as a fan I don't want to see them as half a$$ movies

1) Like Anna Paquin, and Haley Joel Osment who won Academy Awards for acting before they were even 14? Or Dakota Fanning? Naruto would be cast with teenagers anyway
2) Seeing as how it's pretty popular in America, I'm pretty sure it does.
3) Why does every franchise have to only be 3 movies?
4) Opinion not fact. It could be done well
5) If a studio feels it will make them money they will finance it
