The Hype RPG 2007 Awards! Category Nominations

As the days become shorter and the temperature starts to drop (Unless you're an Aussie then **** you! G'day!) The new year approaches. And in this time, we would like to step back and reflect on the year we had.

Boy wasn't that good?

Now, comes the time for awards and big egos!! This is pretty simple. Instead of giving awards every so many post. This is the big daddy of the awards.

EVERY SINGLE RPG POST THAT HAS BEEN POSTED SINCE JANUARY 1 IS ELIGABLE

So, regardless of seasons and what nots. This is everyone's time to shine.

First things first though. We need categories. This is in your hands, decide which categories we use. Then, after that's hammered out. We'll go through the nomination process. Then the voting will occur live and you will decide who you want to win!!!

*Note, this will probably go through all of December. With the winners being revealed sometime around New Years.

BEST STORYLINE
BEST HERO
BEST VILLAIN
BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER
BEST FIGHT
BEST NEWCOMER
BEST POST

Also, as a suggestion - perhaps it would be best to make the awards more general, since they're for all RPGs over the whole year? Keep the RPG-specific awards for the smaller awards held every 1000 posts in the various OOC threads.

Well, this isn't supposed to take the place of the individual RPG Awards, though to my knowledge only the DC/Marvel RPG's tend to do them regularly.

This encompasses the entire forum and not *just* the game play. Or it should...and hopefully it'll have some fun and funky categories.

I only suggested having categories for all over so say...MB plays in two DC RPG's but so do several others...is his double playing of DC characters make him a MVP? *and on my gosh I wrote VIP and not MVP [headdesk]*

Also, making it general like Best Marvel Character Portrayal could be from any of the Marvel Based RPGs.

However..since Byrd, Johnny and I all want to actually be able to vote *and I'm sure MB does as well. we're leaving all of this up to the players so we can vote as well. Thus there are no 'hosts-hosts' just facilitators.

Best Newcomer is one I would definately like to see. Maybe because its a quality award, maybe because I want a shot at winning an award, who knows?

I am totally lost, we're nominating categories for Awards, like the Awards we do in the DC and MArvel threads, except this time it is for ALL the RPG's and the players/arcs within them, as WELL as for actual things within the RPG forums.

Most supportive & Helpful Hype Mod = A Category to nominate the mods who've helped us in the Forums.

And to clarify: Mods = Hype employed/red names

GMs = GMs of the individual RPG games.
