Teresa Palmer, the Australian actress set to star in WB's Justice League, has moved on a another major blockbuster, Transformers 2!

Aussie newspaper Courier Mail had the following casting info today,

She was up, up and away as part of the cast of the beleaguered Justice League of America, but Teresa Palmer's film fortunes have transformed again.

While her Justice role as baddie Talia al Ghul is seemingly in a permanent holding pattern, the talented Aussie actress, pictured, has apparently landed a role in the Transformers sequel, Transformers 2.

Her casting follows an Aussie theme for director Michael Bay. The blockbuster auteur cast another Aussie, Rachael Taylor, in the first live-action Transformers feature and the Tassie actress has been busy ever since, appearing in the Alan Rickman drama Bottle Shock and more recently Deception with Michelle Williams.

Palmer, too, has been busy of late, moving swiftly from the postponed George Miller-directed Justice League to star opposite Adam Sandler in Bedtime Stories.

Question is, which character would Teresa Palmer fit? A look back at the casting sheet for the film, that IESB exclusively had, it's quite possible she could be playing Sam's (Shia LaBeouf) ex-girlfriend - late teens to early 20s, cute and cerebral– a total arty girl that leads her own punk band...

That's pretty much the only one that would make sense. We shall see!

Word on the street is Jonah Hill, that's right the highly talented thesp from masterpieces like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Superbad, is in talks to star opposite Shia LaBeouf in Michael Bay's Transformers 2.

EW.com had the rumor posted today. They say Hill is in negotiations to play LaBeouf's college roommate. Looking back at the casting sheet we have for the film, the college roommate reads as follows,

[CHUCK] 19-25 yrs., Sam's roommate at Princeton. He runs a conspiracy theory website. Funny in an irreverent, edgy way, he is shocked to see his conspiracy theories come to life. (2nd Lead)

If this goes through expect an announcement to be forthcoming from the trades! Transformers 2 is expected to start shooting this summer!

You haven't heard about it? Look it up. Right now the movie seems dead again.

This whole think sounds like it's going to be a big comedy...and to make up for that they will do the same mistake as in TF1, have a huge long ass ending where there's destruction everywhere and for the longest time you can't tell whats going on.

i don't really remember anyone having a problem with shia's character and how quick witted he was with that sense of timing

if anything he's one of the reasons the theater(s) i was in laughed as hard as they did and had a generally good time

not sure why anyone would have a problem with more of the same

My guess is the main 3 actors will be back Megan Fox, Shia and John Voight likely and the others will likely be replaced with new characters or recasts.
I mean Sam and Fox character were the main actors next to the the soldiers and Voight will likely still be in it for Secratary of Defense or whatever. Maybe he will be vice president who knows.

Not sure about the castings, especially Jonah, i dont want as much comedy this time, and i really hope there isnt a character that is Sam's ex-girlfriend, the first had too many useless human characters, they shouldnt make the same mistake again.

Other news, TFW2005 is reporting Hasbro has applied for trademarks for new names, some of which aren't announced. Possible movie characters?
