Black Superman's Return

I'm starting over. I've deleted all of the images in my old thread and deceided to start fresh. I feel that I've matured as an artist and no longer want to look at the past. Anyway here's something new to start things off.

LOVE the subject matter.

Beyond that, you've REALLY turned a corner a while back, and I'm just noticing. This and many of your recent pieces are just light years ahead of of your older stuff.

You should be REALLY proud of your progress!

I love her expression, but my favorite part is the fluidity of the line down her side, hip, and right leg and the highlights on her stomach and leg. Truly great stuff!

PS: Cant wait to see more new stuff, and i wish your thread was called 'Black Superman Returns'. Maybe it's a bit too much on the nose, but I'm a douche that way.

Not bad...but this is from the wrong angle we can't seem to see her butt...needs a mirror in the back for that showcase

I like it but the composition is a little off a bit heavy on the right with nothing to kind of help balance it out. And Mattchew's right definitely good on the expression a little on the wicked side.

Thanks for the comments man. You're right about the composition. That's why I tried to throw in the fire pit thingy. I guess it still didn't balance it out.

Don't worry about the angle. I'm a show more of this scene and it should focus on all the right angles.

I'm at a loss for words. That's a pretty rare occurrence.

Your line technique is very much refined, and spot on in this piece.

The expression and pose are fantastic.

You've got a good use of thick and thin lines around her head and curves, the arms though could probably stand for a thicker outline, considering they're closer than her hips. (Especially her left ((our right))).

The background has amazing detail, I'm loving the texture. It evokes a lot of atmosphere. Then again, you've been pretty spot on for backgrounds for a long while.

I can barely fathom how much you've improved since your first piece, man. Slooow down, you're blowin my stuff out of the water. heh.

I'm attempting to help artists out now with some legitimate critiques. As warm and fuzzy as a pat on the back is, it doesn't help anyone progress.
