ok..I can see the whole Stevan Segall thing..though the actor doesn't resemble him sans arm/gun.. i was thinking..back in the day...(work with me on this...) if segall (without the "body of work" he has under his belt now..) had been cast as punisher....he actually could have pulled it off 15-20 years ago...physcially and visually that is...(suspend belief and work with me..)

Is it just me or does he look a lot like Steven Seagal?

Just kidding(although I actually do see it there), cool picture. I love the slick back hair, he looks just like the Punisher in the video game that Jane voiced, which I'm sure was based on the MAX series. But good pic, I just wish the skull was not so faded.

It's been said by a dozen and one posters, but he looks like Steven freakin' Seagal.

I don't know...maybe the scene is awesome, but they could at least have included a wider shot so we could at least see this supposedly MAX style gore. At this point, the pic's just killing my already-dead hype for this film.

Well it's about damn time.

The first thing I thought was Segal, just like tons of other people. But I can't even reserve judgement on that because he is holding a friggin gun in front of his face and obviously narrowing his eyes because he's firing the weapon.

I like what I see so far, but it's hard to judge until we get a better picture where we can actually see costume details and how Ray actually looks without something in front of his face.

One thing I will say though is I'm really disappointed in the skull.

Not the best pic but why can't any of these movies do the skull right? Didn't like Jane's raggedy one and not feeling this faint one either.

I think the pic looks badass. He's firing a machine-gun of course he's gonna be squinting. He looks big, well armed, intimidating.... He's got acting talent to spare- color me excited.

Not to mention Ray Stevenson looks absoloutely nothing like Steven Segal in any other picture you will ever see of him.

So yeah. Not too worried about that.

Oh well, people here we're eating up the first Tom Jane pic when he obviously had blond hair, Miami Vice stubble, a bright ass Punisher skull shirt, and a table with guns on it.\

Now we got a guy who is the closest to resembling the character yet, has a awesome in action pic, and the best thing people can throw at it is some Steven Segal reference.

Pretty silly.

I really like the lightning and the gritty feel of the picture a lot, looks like this movie could be pretty faithfull tone wise. The new actor seems spot on (although he actually reminds me of Ralf Moeller in this pic )
Only his costume looks a bit, i dunno, cheap. It's not just the faded skull... does anyone agree?

Not that I've ever fired an assault rifle, but don't clips generally overheat? It always irks me to see folks shooting guns while holding the clips in movies.

First off he's not firing it here. Also either he just stuck the clip in in that picture if heat is an issue...because he was trained by experts in this film. I think alot can be taken out of context here. Hell he might be ready to pull that clip out, or he's in the middle of adjusting his hand, or aim. Who knows.

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DN

Here's how you hold it.

Normally you would hold the barrell ahead of clip but with the grenade attachment in the ray stevenson pic he can't do that. Hence the gloves???

magazines can get warm, but not blazing hot. The gun barrels can get very hot though.
